They are useful starting points, not guarantees for your PC: results can vary by hardware, emulator build, game version, and configuration. What does Playable mean on the Ryujinx compatibility list?
Playable is the strongest of the five basic labels. The list defines it as a game that boots and plays without crashes or GPU bugs, at a speed considered fast enough to reasonably enjoy on an average PC. “Average PC” is a practical threshold in the list’s definition, not a benchmark for your particular computer or a promise of identical performance.

The project website reports approximately 4,300 titles tested, with over 4,100 reaching gameplay and roughly 3,550 considered playable. These are approximate figures reported by the Ryujinx site, accessed October 7, 2026, rather than independently verified live counts. Ryujinx website

What does Ingame mean?
Ingame means the game boots and reaches gameplay, but has at least one significant issue. The list names crashes, deadlocks, GPU bugs, distracting audio, and very slow performance as examples. A title with this status may still be completable, but may not play as intended.

The label does not tell you which defect affects a particular game. Read its entry notes to find out whether the reported problem is an occasional crash, a visual fault, disrupted audio, or performance that interferes with play.
What is the difference between Boots, Menus, and Ingame?
These labels describe how far startup progressed in testing. Read them as stages rather than as a guarantee about what will happen on another system:
Rank #2
- Versatile Tri-Mode Connectivity: Use low-latency 2.4GHz RF, Bluetooth, or wired USB-C to play on PC and ROG Xbox Ally; plus certified for Xbox via USB-C and 2.4GHz RF
- Ultra-Response Control: 1000Hz polling rate provides ultra-low latency in both PC wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes, with the latter enhanced by ROG SpeedNova Wireless technology
- Anti-Drift TMR Joysticks: More accurate while consuming less power versus Hall Effect joysticks, and also providing exceptional anti-drift performance
- Programmable Rear Buttons: Four fully programmable rear buttons with ergonomic design
- Dual-Mode Triggers: Seamless switching between micro-switch triggers with short travel and TMR sensor triggers with full travel
| Status | Progress reported | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Nothing | Does not boot or show signs of life. | No successful startup was observed. |
| Boots | Starts but does not get past the title screen. | Startup begins, but the game does not progress beyond its title screen. |
| Menus | Gets past the title screen but does not reach main gameplay. | Some further startup progress is possible, but gameplay was not reached. |
| Ingame | Reaches gameplay, with one or more significant issues. | Gameplay is possible, though faults may make the experience differ from intended play. |
| Playable | Boots and plays without crashes or GPU bugs, at a reasonably enjoyable speed on an average PC. | Meets the list’s practical threshold for enjoyable play. |

Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

No. The status summarizes observed testing, not a guarantee for every PC, game update, or Ryujinx build. The label definitions do not provide a hardware benchmark, and they cannot establish how a particular configuration will perform. Treat an entry as a report about the tested conditions, then check its title-specific notes and date.

How to read a game’s compatibility entry
- Find the exact game entry. Check its title identifier, status, issue notes, and last update date. Compatibility information can be title-specific and dated.
- Read the reported issue, not just the label. This is especially important for Ingame: the status does not specify which fault applies to that title.
- Check which list you are viewing. Ryujinx says its full compatibility list can be viewed in the emulator. The community repository is archived and read-only; the available sources do not establish how its entries map to current in-app data. Ryujinx website
- Compare reports tested on the same basis. The community list asks for tests on an official master/main build, with hacks, mods, and cheats disabled. Reports made under different conditions may not be comparable.
How current is the Ryujinx compatibility list?
The community compatibility repository was archived on April 20, 2025. Its label definitions remain useful for interpreting the historical vocabulary, but an archived repository is not evidence that entries are still being updated. Ryujinx’s site points readers to the list in the emulator; the available information does not establish whether current in-app data follows exactly the archived repository’s rules. A third-party mirror reports compatibility CSV data syncing through October 3, 2026. That mirror is not the canonical upstream source, so its date should not be treated as proof that the archived repository or in-app list was updated on that schedule. Third-party compatibility CSV mirror
