What are the PC requirements for GTA 6?
There are no official GTA 6 PC requirements to use for a hardware purchase. Rockstar’s GTA VI product page and its support article, Grand Theft Auto VI Platforms, Editions, and Versions, list PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, not PC. The support article was last updated August 18, 2026.

Should you buy or upgrade a PC for GTA 6?
Not on the assumption that a particular build will run GTA 6. Without a PC edition and published requirements, any claim that a particular graphics card, CPU, RAM capacity, or SSD is “GTA 6-ready” is speculation—not a Rockstar-backed recommendation.

If you need a PC for other games or work, choose components for those known needs. Compare systems against requirements for games you actually plan to play, as well as your budget, preferred resolution, and workload. Treat GTA 6 compatibility as unknown until Rockstar provides PC-specific information.
- GPU: no confirmed GTA 6 PC model or performance target.
- CPU: no confirmed GTA 6 PC processor requirement.
- Memory and storage: no confirmed PC RAM or storage requirement.
- Resolution and frame rate: no published PC target to use when choosing components.
Why GTA V requirements do not answer the GTA 6 question
Rockstar publishes PC requirements for GTA V Enhanced, but that is a different game. Its requirements page was last updated December 10, 2025; none of its component figures establish what GTA 6 will require.

Rockstar Support describes the GTA VI physical version as a download code in a box without a disc, for the officially listed console platforms. That description does not establish that a PC copy exists; the platforms and editions article lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

What to check before making a GTA 6 hardware decision
For a PC-specific recommendation, look for two separate announcements from Rockstar: confirmation that GTA 6 is coming to PC and system requirements for that edition. Until then, do not treat community forecasts, leaks, or GTA V specifications as confirmed requirements. Rockstar’s official GTA VI page and platforms, editions, and versions article are the relevant places to verify any change.
