What is Warhammer Survivors?
Developed and published by Auroch Digital, Warhammer Survivors is a standalone, fast-paced roguelite in the survivors-style action genre. The game brings together characters, enemies, and settings from both Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar. Its official Steam listing identifies Warhammer and poncle as partners.
Warhammer Community’s October 6, 2026 release announcement says the game launches November 10, 2026, and reports more than 40 playable characters and more than 70 weapons. Those are publisher-reported counts, not independently verified measurements.

Platforms and demo
The announced platforms are PC via Steam and GOG, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android. The October 6 announcement also introduced a new demo for Steam and Xbox on PC featuring the Legend of Catachan and Lyssa Revenya. The developer FAQ says progress from the demo will not transfer to the full game.
How does gameplay work?
A run puts a character in an arena as enemy numbers grow. Defeating enemies earns experience; leveling up provides opportunities to acquire weapons and power-ups. Weapons can be evolved, letting a build grow more powerful as the run continues. The official descriptions emphasize escalating hordes and becoming stronger within a run, rather than a fixed sequence of conventional missions.

The Steam listing names stages including Aqshy and an abandoned Space Hulk, with different factions and secrets. The enemy roster confirmed in Auroch Digital’s developer FAQ includes Skaven, Blades of Khorne, Tyranids, Orks, and Death Guard. A Warhammer Community preview also describes fighting Orks and highlights Age of Sigmar characters such as Neave Blacktalon, Gotrek Gurnisson, and Sharynn Azurwrath.

Not in the formal sense established by the current official material. The announcements call the playable roster characters or champions, and describe individual weapons and weapon evolutions. They do not lay out class names, class-selection rules, or a complete class breakdown. It is more accurate to think of the roster as distinct character-based play styles until the developer announces otherwise.

How character weapons shape a run
PlayStation’s October 6 feature gives two examples. Morvenn Vahl uses the Heavy Bolter Fidelis, which can trigger a rate-of-fire increase; Fidelis can evolve into Purgator Mirabilis, adding the Paragon Missile Launcher. Lyssa Revenya’s Rope and Grapnel fires hooks from the edges of the screen, damaging enemies and dragging survivors. Its evolved form summons the Ghost of Rhea effect.
These examples illustrate how a character’s weapon identity can affect combat, but they are not a complete roster or build guide. The announced count of more than 40 playable characters leaves the full set of options to be discovered in the game.

What does progression mean?
There are two different progression questions: how a character grows during a run, and whether anything carries between runs or universes. The confirmed run-level loop is experience, new weapons and power-ups, and weapon evolution. Beyond that, take care not to treat every discussed design change as a final feature.

Between-run and cross-universe progression
Auroch Digital’s pinned Steam FAQ describes shared currency across the two Warhammer universes as something the team was working on. The FAQ also says its change list was non-exhaustive and subject to change. Shared currency should therefore be treated as a proposed or discussed adjustment, not a confirmed launch mechanic.

The same FAQ states that demo progress will not carry over to the full game. It also said the price had not yet been announced when the FAQ was posted; because that statement predates the October 6 launch announcement, check the current store listing for any later price update.

As of the October 6, 2026 official announcement, Warhammer Survivors is scheduled to launch November 10, 2026. The announced platforms are PC (Steam and GOG), Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android.
