What Ooor does—and what 1.5MB means
In a September 24, 2026 product article, Oshine Li describes Ooor as a native Windows application built with C#, WinForms and .NET Framework 4.8. It puts a graphical interface around parts of the llama.cpp ecosystem that otherwise involve managing engine builds, model files and command-line settings. These details are the author’s description; they have not been independently verified.

The claimed 1.5MB is the executable size reported by Li, not the size of the full installation, inference engine or language model. Ooor downloads llama.cpp builds and GGUF model files separately. The article uses a 7GB model as an example when explaining how soft deletion can avoid downloading a model again; that is an illustration, not a typical model-size estimate.
Li’s article also compares installer and idle-memory figures for Ooor, Ollama and LM Studio, but does not state measurement conditions or an apples-to-apples method. Those figures should be treated as the author’s comparison, not as independent benchmark results.

Who should consider Ooor?
Ooor may be worth considering if you use Windows, want a graphical way to manage llama.cpp builds and GGUF files, and value a built-in chat interface or local API. It is less suitable if you need a macOS or Linux build, a browser-based chat UI, or built-in downloads for gated model repositories. The article describes Ooor as Windows-only and does not describe a current Mac or Linux version.
