What are the two reported October announcement groups?
A MacRumors report published October 5, 2026, citing Bloomberg for the October 13 expectations and its own sources familiar with the matter for the later group, described two separate announcement periods. The first is a home-product group expected October 13; the second is a set of additional products expected in the final week of October. The report did not identify the exact products in that later group.

October 13: reported home products
The products named for October 13 were an all-new home hub, a new HomePod mini, and a new Apple TV 4K. These are reported expectations, not an Apple-confirmed announcement or a guaranteed release date.
Final week: an unspecified second group
MacRumors said additional products were planned for the final week of October, but its report did not establish a final lineup. Macs were among the possibilities it considered most likely; that does not mean every candidate below will be announced.

Which Macs might appear later in October?
The late-month Mac possibilities named in the report were:
- A MacBook Ultra, described as potentially having an OLED display and a thinner, lighter design.
- A base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip.
- An iMac with an M6 chip.
These are candidate products and reported possibilities, not confirmed models or verified specifications. The report did not say which, if any, would be part of the final-week announcements.

Is a new iPad mini part of either group?
The report also said a new iPad mini with an OLED display, A20 Pro chip, landscape front camera, and redesigned speakers was expected in October. Its timing was unclear, and MacRumors did not establish whether it would join either reported announcement group. Those features should be read as reported expectations rather than confirmed specifications.
How does the October 23 iPhone Duo launch fit in?
The October 23 iPhone Duo launch was mentioned separately. It is not evidence that the iPhone Duo belongs to either of the two reported announcement groups, and the report did not combine that launch with the October 13 or final-week product announcements.

Will Apple hold an event or announce products online?
The format remains uncertain. A Macworld follow-up anticipated announcements through press releases or website updates rather than necessarily through a livestream, while 9to5Mac’s coverage also described the format as unsettled. Neither account makes a livestream—or a specific online announcement schedule—certain.
