Apple may announce more products in the final week of October 2026, with Macs reportedly the leading candidates—but Apple has not confirmed a second event or a date. The report describes possible product announcements, not a scheduled keynote, livestream, or confirmed Mac lineup.
Is Apple having another event in October?
Not officially, based on the information available as of October 7, 2026. MacRumors reported on October 5, citing multiple people familiar with the matter, that Apple planned additional product announcements in October’s final week. Apple’s Events page does not confirm a second October event.

That distinction matters: a product launch can take place through press releases or announcement videos without a traditional media event. Until Apple makes an official announcement, “possible late-October launch” is more accurate than saying Apple has scheduled an event.

Which Macs could be announced?
The MacRumors report identifies three possible Mac directions. None is a confirmed product or specification.
#1 Best Overall
- AN AMAZING MAC AT A SURPRISING PRICE — With an incredibly portable and durable aluminum design, up to 16 hours of battery life,* and the A18 Pro chip, MacBook Neo is ready to go wherever school takes you.
- FOUR STUNNING COLORS. ONE DURABLE DESIGN — Choose from four beautiful colors — Silver, Blush, Citrus, or Indigo — each with a color-coordinated keyboard. And MacBook Neo is made with a durable recycled aluminum enclosure that helps it reach 60 percent recycled content by weight — the most ever in any Apple product.*
- FLY THROUGH EVERYDAY ASSIGNMENTS — Whether you’re cramming for finals, using Apple Intelligence* to summarize class notes, creating presentations, or even playing the latest Apple Arcade game,* MacBook Neo delivers the performance and AI capabilities you need to get things done.
- UP TO 16 HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE — MacBook Neo delivers all day battery life, so you can power through from early morning classes to late night study sessions without worrying about plugging in.
- A VIBRANT 13-INCH DISPLAY* — The gorgeous Liquid Retina display on MacBook Neo supports 1 billion colors, so photos and videos pop and text is crisp for easy reading.
- A base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip.
- An iMac with an M6 chip.
- Long-rumored “MacBook Ultra” models, reportedly with OLED displays and a thinner, lighter design.
Keep those possibilities separate from the high-end Mac Studio configuration with an M5 Ultra chip and 512GB of RAM. MacRumors says Apple had previously announced that configuration for “late October”; it is not one of the unconfirmed candidates above.
The report also mentions a separate October 13 reveal for a home hub, HomePod mini, and Apple TV 4K. That reported reveal does not establish that there will be a second launch later in the month, or that every rumored Mac will be included.

Would it be a keynote or livestream?
The format is unknown. AppleInsider’s October 5 coverage says the format of the possible later launch is unclear. It also notes that the reported October 13 reveal could use a press release and announcement video rather than a traditional press event.
Apple has used more than one launch format in the past. Macworld’s launch-history coverage notes that Apple announced iMac, Mac mini, and MacBook Pro products by press release in October 2024 without holding an October event. It also records late-fall events on October 30, 2023, and October 18, 2021. Those examples make an October Mac announcement plausible, but they do not confirm Apple’s plans for 2026.
