In a short, staff-assisted demonstration, Digit’s Ashish Singh found the vivo Vision Discovery Edition lighter than he expected, its gaze-and-pinch controls increasingly natural, and video on its huge virtual screen especially engaging. The same session raised practical questions about fit, heat and prescription setup, so it offers an early impression—not a verdict on long-term comfort or everyday use.
What stood out in the demonstration
Singh’s account is based on a guided demo, not an extended review or independent test. He describes the headset as surprisingly light despite its aluminium frame and glass front. He also notes a two-section rear strap intended to distribute weight. Those are his impressions of the demo unit; he did not report weighing it. Digit’s first-impression account provides the context for these observations.

Gaze and pinch felt intuitive to him
To select an interface element, Singh looked at it and pinched his fingers together; holding a pinch let him perform actions such as dragging or swiping. During his session, he says the pointer landed on intended targets consistently, with few mistaken selections near interface edges. The interaction became more intuitive to him after several minutes. This describes one reviewer’s brief experience, not a measured accuracy rate or a guarantee that every user will find the controls equally easy.

Singh found video on a large virtual screen more engaging than watching on a phone, tablet or laptop, likening its scale to a theatre screen. A brief demonstration cannot establish whether the headset can replace a cinema or remain comfortable for a full-length film.

What setup and fit were like
Staff scanned Singh’s face, used his prescription details to choose a face mask or light seal, fitted the headset and calibrated eye tracking. He says the process took time in this demonstration. Because staff handled the setup, his experience does not establish how long an owner’s setup would take.
He also found the fit tight around the nose and noticed sweat on his face and the padding after the demo. The unit had relatively thick padding, which he thought contributed to pressure and heat. That is a report about this session and its padding, not evidence that every face or fit component will feel the same.

Although he provided prescription details, Singh still perceived blur. He could not independently verify the fit or prescription calibration, so the blur is not a reliable verdict on the display itself.
