1. Check what the preview actually shows
Open the job preview and distinguish among an entirely blank capture, content that is only partly rendered, a blocking or security page, and an error. Those symptoms point to different troubleshooting routes. Visualping notes that automatic load detection does not guarantee every page element has loaded by screenshot time. Visualping’s basic monitoring guide recommends checking the preview and allowing more time when elements are missing.

2. Give slow or dynamic content more time
If the page is still rendering when Visualping captures it, increase the wait time in Advanced Settings or add a Wait action to the job. This is the first fix to try when content appears late or only part of the page is visible. 3. Add the interaction the page needs
Visualping actions run before screenshots, so they can move the page into the state you want monitored. Depending on the page, use Click, Type, Select, Cookie, Scroll, Go to, or another relevant action. If the page needs time to respond to an action, place a Wait after it, then review the preview for warnings. See Visualping’s guide to actions.
Record repeatable steps
For a sequence of browser steps—such as dismissing a consent banner, choosing a product option, navigating, or logging in—Visualping’s Record action can capture interactions for reuse. Recording requires the Visualping Chrome extension. Once saved, check the baseline or job preview and correct steps that failed or became outdated. Details are in Visualping’s Record Action guide.
4. Investigate security checks and location differences
If the preview shows a bot check, security challenge, or geo-block rather than the target page, try Visualping’s documented Basic Proxy or a checking location in another country—or in the website’s own country. Also test disabling “Block ads and cookies” in Advanced Settings. These settings are diagnostic options, not a guarantee that a site will allow the capture. 5. Compare local and cloud monitoring when relevant
Visualping describes Local monitoring as running on your machine and requiring the browser to stay open, while Cloud monitoring runs on Visualping’s servers independently of your browser. If the problem appears only in local monitoring, compare the result with cloud mode and consider differences in browser context. The mode difference helps narrow where to investigate, but by itself does not identify the cause. See Visualping’s Chrome extension information.
6. Troubleshoot by symptom

7. When to contact Visualping support
If the preview remains blank after these checks, send support the page URL, what you expected the job to do, and any error messages. Include the relevant preview and the wait settings or actions you tried; those details are needed to investigate a specific page.
