Videograph is a downloadable HTML template for building a video portfolio—not a hosted website builder. Colorlib describes it as a responsive portfolio for videographers, with seven site pages, a filterable portfolio and video gallery. Whether it suits you depends on your comfort editing and deploying a website, as well as the template’s license and support terms.
What Videograph is—and what it isn’t
Videograph is an HTML template published by Colorlib. You download and customize the site files, then arrange hosting and deployment yourself; it is not a hosted service that builds or maintains a portfolio for you. Colorlib’s product page describes the template for videographers.

Colorlib lists seven pages: home, about, portfolio, services, blog, blog details and contact. Its described components include:
#1 Best Overall
- A hero text slider and dropdown navigation.
- A video gallery that opens clips in a dialog, plus a filterable portfolio.
- Animated counters and a testimonials slider.
- A latest-posts carousel, social icons and hover effects.
- A contact form and a map that loads when a visitor clicks to show it.
This scope can cover a basic portfolio, service offering and blog in one design. The product page’s description is not an independent inspection of the downloadable files, so confirm that the included pages and interactions meet your needs before buying.
How version 3.0 handles performance and video
Colorlib says version 3.0 replaced Swiper 12 with Swiper 14, replaced MixItUp with a built-in portfolio filter, moved from Masonry to CSS Grid, and removed Bootstrap JavaScript because the theme no longer needed it. The publisher also says Sass is included and npm run build compiles and minifies CSS and JavaScript.
Rank #2
For the seven pages, Colorlib reports a change from 10.7 MB and 281 requests to 3.3 MB and 156 requests. It also says images have AVIF versions with JPG or PNG fallbacks, explicit dimensions and lazy loading below the fold. These are publisher-reported comparisons; no independent test conditions or results are provided on the product page.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Colorlib says fonts are self-hosted and icons use SVGs with a smaller subset of social logos. It also says YouTube and Vimeo videos load only after a visitor clicks, and the map loads after a click on “Show map.” Those choices defer some third-party loading until interaction, but the page does not provide independent measurements of their effect on visitors’ devices or connections.

Customization, forms and accessibility claims
The included Sass and build command give developers a way to change styles and produce compiled assets. That workflow requires more technical involvement than editing a hosted portfolio through a visual site builder. Colorlib does not establish server requirements or detail how to configure and verify form delivery.
Colorlib describes contact and comment forms as sending through php/send-email.php, and newsletter forms through php/subscribe.php. It says the forms include validation, a spam trap and in-page messages. These descriptions do not establish that a form will deliver successfully on a particular host; configuration and delivery should be checked in the deployment environment.

The publisher also says the template has one H1 per page, working skip links, labels for icon-only controls and fields, a mobile menu that retains focus and closes with Escape, and WCAG AA text contrast. These are vendor claims, not the result of an independent accessibility audit. Colorlib says the Google Analytics snippet is commented out, demo video links were corrected, fictional portfolio details remain, and a full-screen preloader was removed.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to decide whether it fits your portfolio
Use these questions to compare Videograph with other ways to present your work:
- Presentation: Does the gallery and filterable portfolio match how you want visitors to browse projects? Try the demo with your own kinds of clips in mind, particularly if playback in a dialog is important.
- Setup: Are you comfortable customizing HTML and styles, using the included build workflow, and arranging hosting? If not, a hosted portfolio service may be a better fit.
- Scope: Do you need the listed blog, services and contact pages, or would a smaller portfolio be simpler to maintain?
- License: Confirm the allowed use for your intended deployment and whether the plan’s access terms cover your needs.
- Support and updates: Compare how long updates and support last, and what happens when that period ends.
There is no basis for calling Videograph universally “best” without a defined audience and comparison method. It is a candidate for someone who wants a video-focused design and can handle template-based setup.
