When will I get my Steam Frame?
There is no single delivery or invitation date for everyone in the queue. Road to VR reported that Valve’s order queue now extends into 2027, with some order emails potentially arriving by December and others in 2027. Further timing information for buyers in the 2027 group was expected by January, according to the report. The available update establishes that the queue reaches into 2027, but it does not provide a total backlog size, an average wait, or a probability of receiving an invitation by a particular date. Your position depends on the list you joined: Valve separates signups by model and shipping region, so a queue estimate for another model or region may not apply to you.

Valve says signups were randomized once, on September 17, 2026. Signups made after that date go to the back of the waitlist. Customers selected a model when signing up, and the model lists are separate; Valve’s FAQ says the selected model cannot be changed after randomization. Lists are also separate for North America, the UK/EU, and Australia. For Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, Valve directs customers to its official distributor Komodo; Valve says Steam Frame will ship in South Korea at a later date. Does being on the waitlist mean I have a reservation?
No. A reservation means Valve has reserved a unit for you, with a purchase invitation email to follow. A waitlist position is not a reservation and does not put you ahead of people who already have one in the same region. Valve begins drawing from a region’s waitlist only after it has exhausted that region’s reservation queue, according to Road to VR.

If you receive a reservation invitation, Valve’s FAQ gives you 72 hours to complete the purchase. A waitlisted customer may move up if reservation holders cancel; Valve says future production runs are offered in waitlist order. Check the account and email associated with your Steam signup so you do not miss an invitation or the purchase window. Valve’s FAQ describes these queue rules.
What should I check before acting on a queue update?
- Open the product page while signed in. The page’s displayed order window is the most relevant estimate for your account.
- Confirm the model and shipping region. Valve keeps separate queues for each, and the rules for your region determine which queue applies.
- Distinguish an estimate from an invitation. An expected window is not an order email; a reservation invitation starts the 72-hour purchase period.
- Do not assume the queue date is universal. Reports that some invitations may arrive by December or in 2027 do not establish an individual buyer’s timing.
Which Steam Frame models and accessories are listed?
The Steam Store page identifies 256GB and 1TB kits. It also lists compatible accessories, including Zenni prescription inserts and an Arcturus Vision camera. These product details do not change queue position or establish when a kit or accessory will be available to a particular buyer.
