How the new-agent unlock normally works

Riot’s progression documentation describes the broader agent-progression and ownership systems. An active Xbox Game Pass subscription can count as owning an agent for Agent Gear purposes under Riot’s documented rules, but that general entitlement is not proof of a Hush-specific launch promotion. Wait for Riot or the in-game client to state whether Hush is included.
Free versus immediate access
- Free route: use the recruitment event or contract, if the reported launch structure is confirmed, and complete its progression requirements.
- Immediate route: spend VALORANT Points when Riot publishes the final price and enables the purchase.
- Existing ownership benefits: progression entitlements such as Game Pass may apply only where Riot’s current rules say they do; they should not be treated as a guaranteed Hush giveaway.
If the agent page shows a lock icon after the patch, first confirm that your client has fully updated and that the regional rollout is complete. A missing contract or purchase button can indicate that the event has not started on your server, not that your account is permanently ineligible.
Is Hush a Duelist or an Initiator?
Hush is reported as a Duelist, not an Initiator. Her apparent design is more self-sufficient and entry-focused than a conventional team flash specialist: she can create movement opportunities for herself, manipulate where opponents are positioned, disrupt a group and interact with selected map objects from range.
That role label matters in team composition. Hush’s reported tools may help her take first contact or force defenders out of a position, but they do not automatically replace an Initiator’s reconnaissance or a Controller’s sustained smoke coverage. A team should still assign information gathering, smokes and post-plant responsibilities rather than expecting one Duelist to perform every job.

Flow: anchor movement and airborne control
Flow is reported as an anchor-dash rather than a simple forward dash. Hush first places an anchor, then propels herself toward that point. The airborne activation is the unusual part: while in the air, she can reportedly hover and keep moving. That could let her change the timing of an entry, clear an angle from an unexpected height or delay her landing while teammates trade the first contact.
Because the anchor is placed before the movement, the ability may require more preparation than a reflex dash. Players will need to decide whether the anchor is an escape point, an entry destination or a midair repositioning tool. The final ability page must clarify whether the anchor persists, can be destroyed and remains usable after Hush takes damage.

Flashbulb: a guided, reactivatable flash
Flashbulb is reported to work in stages. Fire throws the device. Alternate fire then readies and steers it toward the crosshair, and reactivation detonates it. Enemies are blinded if they see the detonation. This is different from a flash that immediately activates on contact: Hush can apparently choose the timing after positioning the projectile.
The control scheme creates both a setup advantage and a vulnerability. Hush may be able to hold a flash while teammates swing, but she also spends time managing the device instead of firing her weapon. Practice should focus on placing the projectile where it can be guided without exposing Hush and on learning the exact visual warning opponents receive.
Displacement: pull, collision and a potential reset
Displacement is reported as a guided pull. When it detonates, players inside are drawn inward. A player who collides with a surface or another player can be concussed, turning tightly stacked defenses into a liability. The ability is also reported to refresh after every two kills.

The refresh mechanic would make Displacement especially important in multi-kill rounds: an initial pull could start a site entry, and a later reset could disrupt the retake. Treat that behavior as provisional until Riot confirms it in the final tooltip or patch notes. The practical counterplay will depend on the confirmed radius, warning, line-of-sight rules and whether players can avoid the concuss effect by changing their spacing.
Suspension: an area lift ultimate
Suspension is reported as Hush’s ultimate. She launches an orb toward the crosshair and detonates it with reactivation or a second fire input. Players caught in the area are lifted into the air.
An area lift can swing a site take or retake by removing several opponents from normal cover and aim height at once. Its value will depend on warning time and escape options. A lift that is easy to hear and avoid may be a zoning tool; a fast or concealed detonation could become an entry-finishing tool. Until Riot publishes the exact rules, do not assume that lifted players are helpless, invulnerable or unable to use weapons.
Telekinesis: ranged interaction, not confirmed universal control
Telekinesis is reported as a passive that allows Hush to interact with selected objects from limited range. Examples in the reporting include weapons, the Spike and map switches. The list is not confirmed as exhaustive, and the exact range has not been established.
That passive could affect weapon recovery, Spike plays and switch-based map interactions, but it should not be described as general object manipulation. There is no confirmed basis for claiming that Hush can pull every item, retrieve objects through walls or use Telekinesis without line of sight.

Does Hush have two ultimates?
No two-ultimate system has been confirmed. Current Hush-specific reporting identifies Suspension as the ultimate and Telekinesis as a passive. The same reporting specifically rejects claims about a “Double Life” or “Secondary Projection” ultimate, copying allies’ abilities, a side-dependent ultimate and wall-crossing or phasing.
Those rumors may continue to circulate because Hush’s movement and interaction mechanics sound unusual. They are not a substitute for Riot’s final ability page. Treat any video or social post that shows an additional ultimate as unverified unless it matches the released client and official patch notes.

There are two different availability questions: ordinary ranked Competitive for players and organized competitions governed by a formal ruleset.
Ordinary ranked queue
Riot’s general Competitive FAQ lists Account Level 20 as the account requirement for Competitive access. It does not provide a Hush-specific ranked date in the material currently available. Therefore, Hush should not be promised in ranked on launch day. The agent may be selectable in other modes while ranked eligibility remains disabled, or Riot may enable her after a separate stability period.

Once Hush appears in the agent select screen for Competitive, the normal account-level requirement still applies. If she is missing from ranked but available elsewhere, that is usually an intentional queue restriction rather than an account-level failure.

Organized VCT-style competition
The available VALORANT competition ruleset says new agents are automatically restricted for at least two weeks from release in the covered live Competitive competition. This is a minimum for that ruleset, not a promise about the public ranked queue.
Using the reported Americas release of October 27, 2026, a two-week minimum points to approximately November 10, 2026 at the earliest for that competition window. The reported October 28 launch in other regions could produce a different region-specific calculation. An organizer or Riot competition announcement can extend the restriction, define the exact timestamp or apply a different event rule.

Is Hush available on console?
No console-specific Hush availability has been confirmed in the current material. Do not infer a console launch date, cross-progression entitlement or platform-exclusive restriction from the PC reporting. Check the Xbox or PlayStation client after the relevant patch and rely on Riot’s platform-specific notes for the final answer.

- The patch has not reached your region: the reported dates differ between the Americas and other regions.
- The recruitment event has not opened: launch-day ownership may depend on a contract or event being enabled separately from the patch.
- Ranked restriction: Hush can be present in the client while disabled in Competitive.
- Organized-event restriction: tournament rules may block the agent for at least two weeks even after public players can use her.
- Client synchronization: fully close and restart the game after maintenance, then verify that the agent page shows the current patch.
- Unverified rumor: a social post may describe a test build or altered ability set rather than the released agent.
If the agent remains unavailable after the regional patch, record the exact mode, server region and message shown in the client. Those details distinguish an ownership issue from a queue restriction and are more useful when contacting Riot support than a screenshot of a rumor or third-party tier list.
What Hush’s kit means for team play
The reported design rewards players who can combine movement and disruption rather than relying on a single burst dash. Flow can create the entry path, Flashbulb can delay the detonation until a swing is ready, Displacement can compress defenders into a punishable area and Suspension can remove normal vertical positioning during a coordinated hit.
That sequence also creates clear trade-offs. Hush may need preparation time for her anchor and guided flash, and her crowd-control value depends on opponents being near surfaces, teammates or the ultimate’s detonation zone. A team that spends every tool on Hush’s own entry may have little left for the post-plant. The final cooldowns, charges and interaction limits will determine whether she is a first-contact Duelist, a lurk specialist or a flexible second-entry pick.
Players evaluating Hush should test five things in the practice range or an unrated match when she becomes available: how quickly Flow reaches its anchor, how much control remains while hovering, whether Flashbulb can be safely held during a swing, the exact Displacement reset trigger, and which objects Telekinesis can affect. Those observations are more reliable than pre-release rumor lists because Riot can change any unfinalized value.
