To completely remove Zelotes mouse software in Windows, distinguish the vendor’s configuration app from the mouse’s device entry and its stored driver package. Uninstall a clearly identified Zelotes app in Windows Settings, then remove the unplugged mouse’s matching entry in Device Manager if needed. Delete a driver-store package only after confirming it belongs to that mouse: Windows may need it for the device to work.
What you need to remove
“Zelotes driver” can refer to different things, and removing one does not automatically remove the others:

- Configuration or gaming software: the model-specific Zelotes app used to adjust mouse settings.
- Device instance: Windows’ record of a connected mouse, visible in Device Manager.
- Driver package: software stored in Windows’ driver store, which Windows may use again when the device is detected.
ZELOTES’ official downloads catalog lists software for specific models. Identify your model and compare it with the catalog rather than assuming every Zelotes mouse uses the same app or a distinct vendor driver. A generic “HID-compliant mouse” label alone does not identify a Zelotes device.
Remove the Zelotes app from Windows
- Check the label on the mouse for its model number, then compare it with the ZELOTES downloads catalog to identify any matching software.
- Disconnect the Zelotes mouse from the computer. Microsoft recommends unplugging a device before uninstalling it because Windows can detect it again and reinstall a driver. See Microsoft’s Device Manager removal guidance.
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps in Windows 11, or Settings > Apps > Apps & features in Windows 10. Search for a clearly matching Zelotes program and choose Uninstall. You can also search Windows for Add or remove programs to reach the apps list.
- If no matching program is listed, do not guess at a folder, service, or registry entry. Continue to Device Manager if your goal is to remove the device association or its driver package.
Remove the mouse entry in Device Manager
- With the mouse unplugged, open Device Manager. Choose View > Show hidden devices to reveal disconnected entries.
- Inspect the mouse-related entries and select only the one you can confidently identify as the Zelotes device. Do not uninstall every entry under Mice and other pointing devices or remove generic HID devices indiscriminately; those may belong to other mice or input devices.
- Right-click the matching entry and select Uninstall device. If Windows offers Delete the driver software for this device, select it only if you intend to remove the associated package as well. Administrative permission may be required.
- Restart if Windows prompts you to do so. Removing the device entry alone does not necessarily remove its package from the driver store.
Delete a confirmed leftover driver package
Use PnPUtil only when you have identified the exact published name of the package you intend to remove. Microsoft documents this command:

pnputil /delete-driver <Published Name> /uninstallReplace <Published Name> with the confirmed name; do not run the example unchanged. Microsoft’s PnPUtil command syntax explains the command and its options. Removing the wrong package—or one Windows needs—can leave a device without a working driver. Creating a restore point before making driver-store changes is a prudent precaution.
Why a driver or mouse entry may return
Windows may rediscover a connected mouse and reinstall a driver. Windows Update can also install a missing driver that Windows considers necessary. Microsoft describes Windows Update as the usual route for automatic driver updates and advises against downloading drivers from non-manufacturer sites; see Microsoft’s driver update guidance.

A generic mouse entry reappearing does not by itself mean the Zelotes configuration app is still installed. If you need to reinstall model-specific settings software, use the official ZELOTES catalog and match the download to your model. For a basic driver update, use Windows Update rather than an unverified driver-download site.

There is no universal Zelotes device name, residual folder, registry key, or removal command established for every model and software version. Avoid removing unrelated mouse or HID entries in pursuit of a cleaner device list.
