That is the vendor’s claim, not an official Spotify download feature or an independently verified result. Spotify’s US help page says music downloads require Premium, and Spotify’s published rules restrict ripping, copying, recording, and transferring content unless its agreements or applicable law allow it.
What UkeySoft claims the converter does
UkeySoft describes a Windows and Mac desktop app with an embedded Spotify web player. Its product page says users can sign in to Spotify inside the app, choose output settings, select a song, album, playlist, podcast, or other listed content, and convert it to a local file. The vendor lists MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, AAC, AIFF, and other formats. These are product-page descriptions, not results from hands-on testing. UkeySoft product page

The vendor also advertises batch conversion and metadata retention. Its pages make different speed claims: a review page says “up to 10X faster,” while another product page says “36X” and claims “100%” quality retention. Those statements are inconsistent and have not been independently measured, so they should not be treated as benchmarks or guarantees. UkeySoft review page UkeySoft product page

How the advertised workflow is supposed to work
- Install the app on a supported Windows or Mac computer. The pages describe those operating systems but do not establish current supported versions.
- Sign in to Spotify within the app’s embedded player.
- Choose an output format and other available settings.
- Select the Spotify content to process and start conversion.
- Find the resulting files in the app’s output folder or conversion history.
This is a summary of UkeySoft’s stated workflow, not a verified installation or operating guide. The product listing checked in 2026 gives a monthly price of $14.95; that is a vendor-listed figure, not a confirmed quote for every market or a complete description of license scope, trial limits, cancellation, or refunds. UkeySoft’s claim versus Spotify’s official downloads
| Question | Spotify official offline listening | UkeySoft conversion claim |
|---|---|---|
| Account plan | Spotify’s US page says Premium is required to download music; Free users can download podcasts. Spotify offline listening | UkeySoft advertises support for Free and Premium accounts. UkeySoft product page |
| Where content plays | Downloads are managed for offline playback in Spotify. | The vendor claims files can be saved in MP3 and other local formats; playback compatibility was not tested. |
| How long downloads remain available | Spotify says a device must go online at least once every 30 days to keep downloads active. | UkeySoft presents converted files as local files, but their persistence was not independently checked. |
| Device and song limits | Spotify’s US page lists up to 10,000 songs per device and up to five devices. | No comparable independently verified limit is established. |
| Evidence | Spotify feature information published by Spotify. | Vendor marketing statements; no independent performance or output-quality test was conducted. |
Spotify’s stated limits and plan details are from its US feature page, accessed in 2026, and may vary by region or change. The distinction matters: Spotify’s official feature is offline playback within its service, while UkeySoft claims to create separate local files.
Does Spotify allow converting its music to MP3?
Spotify’s User Guidelines say users may not, unless expressly permitted by its agreements or applicable law, engage in “copying, reproducing, redistributing, ‘ripping,’ recording, transferring” Spotify content. Its Terms of Use describe access as limited, non-exclusive, revocable permission for personal, non-commercial use and state: “The Spotify software applications and the Content are licensed, not sold or transferred to you.” Spotify User Guidelines Spotify Terms of Use
