These 18 restaurant website examples show different ways to express a venue’s identity while helping visitors find the menu, check practical details, and take the next step. They are a curated source of ideas—not a ranked test or a claim that one style works for every restaurant.
What makes a restaurant website design useful?
A strong restaurant site does two jobs at once: it conveys what the experience feels like and makes the visitor’s next task straightforward. Framer’s guidance emphasizes showing the menu, making booking or ordering easy, surfacing location and hours, and conveying food and atmosphere (Framer’s restaurant website examples and design tips). Zarla likewise points to appetizing photography, a clear next step, and specific copy (Zarla’s restaurant website examples and design ideas).

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Choose a direction that fits your restaurant
Rather than copy a visual trend, compare references against the restaurant’s real needs. Zarla, Framer, and Website Builder Report all frame design as a way to express a specific restaurant while supporting visitor actions (Zarla; Framer; Website Builder Report’s restaurant website examples).
- Brand fit: Do the imagery, palette, typography, and voice reflect the restaurant’s food, service, and atmosphere?
- Task clarity: Can a visitor quickly find the menu, hours, address, and the relevant booking, ordering, or call action?
- Menu usability: Is the menu readable on a phone, current, and available as searchable text? Include prices where appropriate.
- Restaurant model: Does the layout handle one venue or multiple locations, meal periods, private events, and online ordering as needed?
- Maintenance: Can staff update menus, hours, specials, and booking links without specialist help?
Make menus and core details easy to find
In SUUR’s inspection of 15 selected restaurant websites on 30 September 2026, seven showed opening hours on the homepage. In the same sample, six had text menus with prices; other sites relied on image- or PDF-based menus. Those counts describe SUUR’s selected examples, not the restaurant industry as a whole (SUUR’s annotated restaurant website review).

The practical takeaway is to make essentials visible without assuming visitors will search for them. A text menu with prices helps people scan on mobile and gives them content they can search. If a designed image or PDF is important to the brand, consider offering a text version as well. Keep hours, location, and booking or ordering links close to the point where visitors need them.
Match the main action to how the restaurant operates
There is no single correct call to action. Use the one that matches the visitor’s likely next step:
- Reservations: Make table booking prominent when dine-in reservations are central. COTE’s city-specific booking routes and the Loveless Cafe example show how booking can sit alongside location-specific or other useful actions.
- Online ordering: Put ordering first when takeaway or delivery is the main conversion path, as illustrated by sweetgreen’s order-oriented product cards.
- Phone reservations or enquiries: If bookings are telephone-only, state that policy and link or display the number clearly, as in SUUR’s description of Satan’s Whiskers.
- Multiple spaces or services: Give each room, private-event option, or location an action and details of its own when visitors must choose between them.
Sources and scope
The examples are editorial selections from several 2026 roundups, not the results of a common scoring system or a new inspection of all 18 live sites. SUUR says it inspected the sites in its roundup on 30 September 2026; other publishers may have reviewed their examples on different dates. Restaurant websites change, so treat specific interface details as snapshots from the cited coverage rather than guarantees of what a live page shows today.
