tvOS 27.2 beta reportedly contains new Siri and Apple Intelligence code, but Apple has not announced Apple Intelligence support for Apple TV. MacRumors says the beta adds a Siri-and-Apple-Intelligence privacy disclosure and a Siri Messages interface framework—clues that could point to future features, not confirmation that they are coming or that any particular Apple TV will support them.
What tvOS 27.2 beta reportedly adds
MacRumors reported on October 5, 2026, that tvOS 27.2 beta includes an “Improve Siri & Apple Intelligence” setting. Its disclosure text reportedly describes allowing Apple to collect and use text and audio interactions with Siri, Dictation, and Translate. The beta also reportedly includes a Siri Messages UI framework. These are observations reported from beta code; Apple has not described them as announced Apple TV features. MacRumors’ report

What the Siri Messages framework could mean
MacRumors suggests the framework might let Siri read messages received on a linked iPhone and offer smart replies on Apple TV. Those are speculative possibilities, not confirmed capabilities. The report notes that current Apple TV Siri does not support reading or sending messages.
More broadly, a framework or settings disclosure in beta code can indicate that software components are being prepared or tested, but it does not establish how a feature will work, when it will ship, or which hardware will run it.

Has Apple confirmed Apple Intelligence for Apple TV?
No. Apple’s June 8, 2026 announcement introduced Apple Intelligence and Siri AI across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS, with availability subject to language, region, and feature qualifications. The announcement’s listed platform eligibility does not include Apple TV. That omission is not proof Apple will never bring the features to tvOS; it means Apple had not confirmed that support in the announcement. Apple’s announcement
Apple’s tvOS 27 release notes do mention Apple Intelligence in connection with Home app and HomeKit Secure Video processing. That reference does not confirm Siri AI on Apple TV hardware or the rumored specifications of a new model. Apple’s tvOS 27 release notes

What is reported about a future Apple TV’s hardware?
MacRumors also says Apple is working on a possible Apple TV with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and an A19 or A19 Pro chip, and connects those possibilities to on-device Siri AI. Apple has not confirmed these configurations. Treat them as reported possibilities, not specifications for a product you can buy or a guarantee that Apple Intelligence will run on it. The October report follows earlier code-based clues. On June 23, 9to5Mac relayed reporting about tvOS 27 beta references to next-generation Siri during HomePod setup, while noting that the code did not reveal exactly how the feature would work. On August 18, 9to5Mac reported a Siri entry and a “com.apple.campo” string in a tvOS 27 simulator app list; it could not establish whether existing hardware would support the features. 9to5Mac’s June report · 9to5Mac’s August report
