Which dock fits your setup?

For a wide selection of built-in ports: Anker Prime

The Anker combines USB-A and USB-C, card readers, Ethernet, audio and a choice of HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 2.1 alongside Thunderbolt 5. That direct video-output mix may suit a desk setup that needs more than Thunderbolt-connected displays. Check the current product specifications and your computer’s supported display configuration before buying.

CalDigit TS5 Plus - Thunderbolt 5 Docking Station, 20-Ports, 10GbE LAN | PCIe based 10GbE LAN, Dual USB Controllers, 120 Gbps Bandwidth Boost, Two 8K @ 60Hz, 140W Dedicated Host Charging, 330W PSU
  • 20 Ports of Extreme Connectivity - The TS5 Plus includes 3x 80Gb/s Thunderbolt 5 ports, 5x USB-A 10Gb/s ports, 5x USB-C 10Gb/s ports, DisplayPort 2.1, SD 4.0 & microSD 4.0 UHS-II card readers, 10Gb Ethernet, and 3 x audio ports.
  • More Power than Ever - The TS5 Plus host charging port provides up to 140W of dedicated power delivery, ideal for laptops such as the 16” M3/M4/M5 Pro & Max series MacBook Pro that charge at 140W. The included 330W power supply allows sustained power delivery at all times from the host charging port as well as all of the remaining ports. The downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports and one of the front USB-C ports can provide up to 36W of dedicated power delivery for accessories.
  • Flexible Display Configurations - The TS5 Plus on macOS devices can connect up to Dual 6K 60Hz displays, or even Dual 8K 60Hz displays on Macs that support those resolutions. Up to Triple 6K 60Hz displays are supported on M5 Pro & Max only. Up to Quad 6K 60Hz displays are supported on M5 Max only. Windows users please check your PC’s supported display compatibility.
  • 10 Gigabit Ethernet - 10GbE is 10X faster than traditional 1GbE found on the majority of docking stations. Connect to ultra fast 10GbE networks in order to transfer files faster than ever, or connect to 10GbE equipped NAS storage devices. *Ethernet is only supported on Thunderbolt based hosts as well as USB4 hosts that support PCIe.
  • Dual USB Controllers - A unique feature of the TS5 Plus is that it includes Dual USB Controllers. This means that the ports on the front of the dock have one 10Gb/s USB controller for all of the attached devices, and the rear ports have a second 10Gb/s controller for the devices on the back ports. This avoids any bottlenecks when multiple high speed USB devices are connected.

For Apple Silicon Mac setups: iVanky FusionDock Max 2

The roundup identifies this dock as designed for Apple Silicon Macs and says it is incompatible with Windows and Chrome laptops. Its 23 connections and up-to-140W charging are relevant only if your host computer is within that compatibility target.

For Thunderbolt-connected displays: Ugreen Maxidok

Ugreen’s listed display connections run through Thunderbolt, not HDMI or DisplayPort. The roundup notes that the display configurations available depend on the connected Mac, so check your specific computer’s capabilities rather than assuming the dock alone determines how many screens it can drive.

Check compatibility, displays and charging before buying

  • Host connection: Confirm that your laptop supports the relevant Thunderbolt or USB-C features. A connector that fits physically does not establish support for every dock function.
  • Displays: Match the dock’s video outputs to your monitors and verify the host computer’s supported display setup. For Ugreen, displays connect through Thunderbolt; actual configurations depend on the Mac connected.
  • Power: Several docks are reported to provide up to 140W to the host, but maximum output is not a substitute for checking your laptop’s charging requirements and the current product specification.
  • Ports you will use: Compare USB-A and USB-C, Ethernet, card readers, audio and direct HDMI or DisplayPort outputs individually. A headline port count does not tell you whether the right kinds of ports are included.
  • Full system cost: Add a compatible M.2 NVMe SSD separately if you plan to use the VectoTech’s storage slot.
