CD PROJEKT RED says its technical support team has received more requests than usual since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered launched on 29 September 2026, and replies may take longer. The notice, quoted by iXBT Games on 3 October, gives no ticket count or estimate of the delay. Reports cover different problems, so check the current status for your platform and game version rather than assuming every player is affected by the same bug.
What CDPR said about support delays
In a notice attributed to CD PROJEKT RED technical support, the team said it had been “receiving more requests than usual” and that “a response may take a little longer.” The notice also said that a reported problem may already be known and under analysis for patch preparation. iXBT Games reproduced the notice on 3 October 2026; the underlying social post was not independently retrieved for this report. The wording indicates increased requests and possible slower replies, not a quantified backlog or proof that support has stopped responding.

What problems have players reported?
Coverage published around launch has described save-related problems, missing DLSS in the Xbox Play Anywhere PC version, lighting issues and PC performance concerns, alongside fixes or hotfixes. These are secondary reports and can change as patches arrive; they do not establish that each issue affects every platform or player. No sourced figures establish the rate of any issue by platform, nor is there a controlled comparison showing that a particular troubleshooting step fixes it.

- Durable
- robustness
For current notices, CD PROJEKT RED’s PC support portal lists the Remastered FAQ, Patch 5.0, updated PC requirements and NVIDIA Hairworks performance issues among its hot topics. It also separates technical, gameplay and content support. Use the entry for the actual platform and symptom, since a PC storefront issue may not apply to a console version.
How to report a problem and check its status
- Identify the affected version. Note your platform or PC storefront, the game version or patch, and whether the problem began after an update.
- Classify the symptom. Record whether it concerns launching, saves, graphics, performance, audio, gameplay or downloadable content. Include what happens and the steps that reproduce it.
- Check the matching official support category. Start at the Witcher 3 PC support portal for PC issues; console players should use the support route for their platform. Review current FAQ and patch information before submitting a duplicate report.
- For PC performance, compare your setup with the current requirements. Check resolution, graphics settings and system configuration against CDPR’s updated PC requirements. Include those details in a support report so the issue can be distinguished from a configuration mismatch.
CDPR’s current requirements article says performance depends on configuration, settings and resolution, and that an SSD is required for the newest enhancements. It also says Windows 10 will no longer be officially supported or tested going forward, while clarifying that this does not necessarily mean the game will stop running on Windows 10 with the next update. Meeting or exceeding requirements cannot guarantee a fix for a game bug, and the guidance does not establish that buying new hardware resolves the launch problems reported elsewhere.

Do not confuse this with the 2022 next-gen edition
The 2026 Remastered launch is distinct from the Complete Edition next-gen update released on 14 December 2022. That earlier update was free for eligible existing owners, and a physical PS5 and Xbox Series X edition was announced later. CD PROJEKT RED also announced a PC hotfix on 19 December 2022 intended to improve stability and performance and fix GOG and Steam overlays, while saying work continued across platforms. Those announcements describe the 2022 release, not the 2026 support queue or its fixes.
