For a safe local story order in Novigrad, play Pyres of Novigrad → Novigrad Dreaming → Broken Flowers → Get Junior. During Get Junior, ask Dijkstra about Dandelion to begin Count Reuven’s Treasure. Before advancing through Get Junior, finish any linked side quests you want to keep—especially The Gangs of Novigrad, which can become unavailable as the story progresses.

This is the recommended order for this part of the story, not a requirement to complete every Act 1 region in sequence. Velen, Novigrad, and Skellige overlap, so you can explore other regions while following this local route. Take the Fencing Lessons offer if you want it
During Broken Flowers, you can trigger Fencing Lessons. Accept the offer if you want to pursue that side quest; it is optional to the main-quest sequence.
How Get Junior and Count Reuven’s Treasure fit together
Begin Get Junior at the bathhouse. After the opening encounter, speak with Dijkstra and ask about Dandelion; this starts Count Reuven’s Treasure. You do not need to finish one of these quests before starting the other: both strands move the story toward The Play’s the Thing.

Expect a Ciri story break
During Geralt’s investigation, the main quest pauses for Ciri’s Story: Visiting Junior. Complete that segment, then return to Geralt’s Get Junior objectives.

What to finish before advancing through Get Junior
Treat the Get Junior sequence as a point to check your side quests. The main missable concern identified in the walkthrough is The Gangs of Novigrad: it describes an opportunity to continue the quest after the Temple Isle investigation and warns that advancing beyond that point makes it impossible to complete. If you want the quest, finish it before moving past that stage.

Casino: peaceful route or larger fight
Prima’s walkthrough recommends taking a peaceful approach at the casino and avoiding hostile dialogue about Whoreson Junior there. The guide says hostile choices lead to a larger fight. This is a combat and route-efficiency preference, not a requirement for completing the main quest.
Whoreson Junior: a later-story decision
The later choice to spare or kill Whoreson Junior matters to a subsequent quest, according to the walkthrough. The cited coverage does not fully establish every downstream consequence, so choose based on your role-playing preference rather than expecting a guaranteed specific ending or outcome.
