Those are the latest plans in the developer’s 16 December 2025 update. Earlier announcements described offline solo play, quests, an expandable base and drivable vehicles, but the developer has not recently reconfirmed those details or published a full progression system.
What is the current release status?
In its 16 December 2025 update, Creative Director Marco Ponte said the team had no new release date locked in. The game will not launch in Early Access; the stated aim is to release a complete, polished experience. The update also said it would not launch in 2025. These are the latest dated developer plans available in the official Steam Community news feed; they do not establish a release date after that update.

Which platforms will Terminator: Survivors be on?
The confirmed product page in the sources reviewed is the Steam listing, which names Nacon Studio Milan as developer and Nacon as publisher. That confirms a Steam product page, not a complete platform roadmap. Console platforms and timing, cross-play, an Amazon listing, and a physical edition are not confirmed by the sources cited here.

Can you play Terminator: Survivors with friends?
Not according to the latest multiplayer update: the team said it had decided to put cooperative multiplayer aside after internal testing and discussions with players and fans. The update does not promise that co-op will return.

A 2 May 2024 FAQ had described co-op with up to three friends and said there were no plans for PvP. Those statements refer to an earlier design and should not be treated as current features. Cross-play is also unconfirmed.
Is Terminator: Survivors single-player or offline?
The 2024 FAQ said the game could be played fully offline in single-player. The December 2025 update did not restate that specification, so offline play is an announced feature from the earlier FAQ rather than a detail reconfirmed in the latest update.

What gameplay and progression have been announced?
The developer’s 2024 FAQ and lore presentation described a first-person game with an original story, secondary storylines and quests. Players were said to start with a story-linked base and expand it by constructing and improving facilities; multiple drivable vehicles were also announced. These are earlier design details, not a guarantee that every feature will remain unchanged at release.
Setting
The announced story takes place in 2009, after Judgment Day in September 2005, following the 1997 event being averted in the Terminator 2 timeline. It is set after Terminator 2 and describes factions competing for territory and vital resources.

The cited official materials do not lay out a finalized character-leveling system, skill trees, unlock conditions or a detailed progression loop. There is not enough confirmed information to describe how character advancement will work.
