Is there an official Tecno Phantom X AC8 stock ROM download?
TECNO’s support and downloads page provides product resources and region selection, but the retrieved page content did not show an AC8 stock-ROM download. That means the package names listed elsewhere should be treated as third-party claims, not as TECNO-confirmed firmware.

TECNO’s Phantom X product information describes the phone as running Android 11-based HiOS. That product detail does not identify which firmware file is right for every AC8 regional variant.

How to check a package before downloading
Compare the package against the phone’s full model and regional/build identifier—not just the Phantom X name. Check the source, version identifier, date, archive integrity, stated Android version, and whether the archive includes a scatter file and matching instructions. The available listings do not establish that any one package works across all regions, carriers, or device states.
- Confirm the complete model designation and current build from the phone’s settings, packaging, or service records.
- Ask TECNO or Carlcare whether the package and recovery method are appropriate for that exact variant.
- Do not proceed if the source, model match, or package contents cannot be verified.
- Back up important data first. A flash may wipe the phone.
- Keep access to accounts needed after reset; a third-party guide also advises preserving device identifiers, but that guidance is not an official TECNO procedure.
What the third-party SP Flash Tool instructions describe
GETDroidTips describes a Windows PC workflow using SP Flash Tool, USB drivers, a firmware archive, and its scatter file. The guide is not an official TECNO service manual, and its sequence is not validated for every AC8 variant. Tool versions, driver support, and device security behavior can change.

- On a Windows computer, install suitable USB drivers and extract the firmware archive. The third-party guide expects a scatter-format file in the extracted package.
- Open SP Flash Tool, load the download agent and the package’s scatter text file, then select its download operation.
- Power the phone off. Connect it to the computer over USB while holding both volume buttons, as the guide instructs, and wait for the computer/tool to detect it.
- Wait for the tool to report completion before disconnecting, then reboot the phone.
These are the steps described by GETDroidTips, not a guarantee that the procedure will work or be safe for your particular handset. TecnoFirmware.com also describes a Windows PC, working USB cable, and scatter file, but its statement that its files were tested and scanned is the site’s own claim, not an independent verification: TecnoFirmware.com.

Do not continue if the tool fails to recognize the handset, the scatter file or model does not match, the package requires undocumented authorization or bypass files, or you are unsure whether the device’s regional build is compatible. Seek qualified TECNO service or contact Carlcare. Flashing is not an established fix for every boot loop, app error, battery problem, or other fault.
