The TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra 5G pairs a 6.78-inch curved 144Hz AMOLED display with a 50MP main camera, 50MP 3× telephoto, 6500mAh battery and 45W charging. Android Central’s hands-on review found it capable for everyday use, with good daylight and night photos and strong moving-subject capture, but zoom detail became muddy at 20× and charging was slow relative to the battery size. Those observations come from one reviewer’s use; the listed specifications are regional, and price and availability depend on your market.
What the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G offers
TECNO’s Bangladesh specification page lists the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G with a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor, HiOS 16, NFC, USB-C, OTG and dual speakers with Dolby Atmos. Its stated dimensions are 162.37 × 76.97 × 7.75 mm. The same page lists 256GB storage with either 8GB or 12GB physical RAM, plus extended RAM, and colors Moonshadow Black, Cypress Green and Nebula Titanium. These are Bangladesh-listed specifications; check the exact model and configuration sold in your country before buying. TECNO Bangladesh specifications.

TECNO India also has a product page for the phone, but its promotional statements should not be treated as independent test results. In particular, TECNO says its lab data indicates more than 80% battery capacity after 1,800 cycles under stated temperature conditions, and advertises a TÜV SÜD “> 2 Day” endurance claim. TECNO notes that battery data comes from its lab and device performance may vary. TECNO India product page.
How good is the display?
The Bangladesh specification page lists a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel with 1208 × 2644 resolution—described by TECNO as 1.5K—and a 144Hz refresh rate. A high refresh rate can make scrolling and supported animations look smoother than on a lower-refresh display, but the figure alone does not establish brightness, color accuracy or how consistently the panel runs at 144Hz.

The curved edges give the screen a more wraparound appearance than a flat panel. They can also make edge touches and reflections a practical consideration. The available hands-on review does not establish whether accidental touches are a recurring problem, so try the phone in person if curved screens have bothered you before.
Camera review: useful range, with a zoom limit
TECNO lists a rear camera system with a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP 3× telephoto camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera is listed at 50MP. Those are hardware specifications, not a guarantee of image quality: megapixel counts do not tell you how well cameras handle exposure, skin tones, detail or difficult light.
Daylight, night and moving subjects
In Android Central’s review, published 17 March 2026, reviewer Derrek Lee reported good regular daylight images and decent night photos. The review also found the phone handled fast-moving subjects well with TECNO’s FlashSnap feature. These are the reviewer’s observations under their own conditions, not results from a controlled comparison. Android Central’s CAMON 50 Ultra 5G review.

Telephoto and high zoom
A dedicated 3× telephoto camera gives the phone a distinct camera option beyond its main and ultra-wide cameras. But the reviewer found zoom images became muddy at 20×. TECNO’s product promotion mentions 60× zoom; that claim should not be read as evidence that 60× images retain usable detail. For a buying decision, judge the camera by the focal lengths you will actually use—especially the 3× camera and any crop beyond it.
TECNO’s reported camera score
A 3 March 2026 TECNO press release distributed by PR Newswire reports DXOMARK scores of 146 overall and 142 for portrait, and calls the overall score the highest for smartphones under $600. Those are claims reported by TECNO, not an independently verified ranking here; the release is not a substitute for a current, like-for-like comparison of phones available at your local price. TECNO’s press release on the reported DXOMARK result.
Battery life and charging
TECNO lists a 6500mAh battery and 45W Super Charge. Android Central’s reviewer said the phone lasted all day and then some in their use, reporting roughly 6–8 hours or more of screen-on time. Treat that as one reviewer’s experience, not a guaranteed runtime: screen brightness, signal strength, apps and gaming affect battery life.

The same reviewer measured about 90 minutes to charge from empty to full, and 33 minutes to reach 50%. That makes charging a notable trade-off: the battery is large, but the reviewer found its 45W charging comparatively slow for that capacity. Those times are review observations, not TECNO’s guaranteed charge times. TECNO’s “> 2 Day” battery endurance and 1,800-cycle statements on its India page are manufacturer claims, with the company noting that battery performance may vary. TECNO India battery claims.

Everyday performance and software
The Bangladesh specification page names the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate and HiOS 16. Android Central describes the interface as fluid and everyday performance as capable, but cautions against expecting heavier games to run smoothly at their highest settings. If gaming matters, look for tests of the specific games and graphics settings you use rather than relying on the processor name alone.
The Bangladesh page lists HiOS 16; Android Central identifies its reviewed handset as running HiOS 16 based on Android 16. The available sources do not establish how many Android-version upgrades or security updates TECNO guarantees for this model. Ask TECNO or the local seller for a written, market-specific support commitment if update longevity is a deciding factor.

Quick Recap
Who should consider it?
- Consider it if you want a large, high-refresh curved AMOLED display, a dedicated 3× telephoto camera and a high-capacity battery, and its local price and warranty are competitive.
- Think carefully if you rely on high-magnification zoom, need fast top-ups, play demanding games at maximum settings or expect a clearly stated multi-year update commitment.
- Compare locally on real street price, warranty, low-light camera consistency, usable telephoto quality, display shape, charging time, game performance, software support and carrier compatibility. TECNO’s reported under-$600 camera ranking does not settle those comparisons.
