How to use the tiers when building a team
A tier is a starting point for comparing fighters, not a complete team-building rule. Tap Force is a turn-based, auto-battle team game with several modes; companion guides describe teams of five or six fighters, while a wiki says the team builder allows up to six. Check the in-game team limit and mode rules as they can change with updates.
#1 Best Overall
- Inspired by the 1984 American mockumentary comedy film This Is Spinal Tap
- Figure is 3.75” scale with five points of articulation
- Includes black bass guitar accessory, and comes packed on a blistered cardback
- The perfect gift for any heavy metal music fan, collect the entire assortment of music legend action figures, apparel, and accessories by Super7!
- COLLECTIBLE TOYS & FIGURES: From TMNT action figures and G.I. Joe skateboard decks to Power Rangers t-shirts and SpongeBob toys, Super7 makes the perfect retro collectibles, vintage toys, and nostalgia gifts for pop culture fanatics and collectors
- Mode: A fighter’s usefulness can depend on the activity. An unofficial fan guide, not affiliated with the developers, highlights Spekkio for Mech Event; Pyra for Campaign; Teryx and Necro for Mech; Otto for Mech and Hard Mode; Lily for Club Smash; and Karma for Sewers and Hard Mode. These are guide recommendations, not independently tested results or official advice.
- Faction matchup: The fan guide describes six factions and a rock-paper-scissors advantage relationship among the four main factions. Check the opposing team and the current in-game faction indicators rather than assuming a high-tier fighter always has the matchup edge.
- Role and synergy: The guide identifies roles including tank, brawler, finisher, mage, and support. Consider whether a fighter fills a needed role and complements the rest of your lineup, rather than comparing tier letters alone.
- Your progression and resources: A top-tier character you cannot effectively build may be less useful to your account than an available, upgraded fighter who fits your team. Weigh investment against your current roster and the content you are trying to clear.
For explanatory context on roles and mode-specific suggestions, see the unofficial Tap Force fan site; it is not developer confirmation.

Google Play lists Tap Force under Race Cat and reports a September 1, 2026 update adding Yomi of the Cobra faction. Pocket Gamer’s tier-list update followed on September 4 and also identifies Yomi as the latest addition. The list is therefore tied to a specific snapshot: check the current game version and live roster before relying on it after later balance or content updates. Google Play listing.
