What Boss Challenge offers
In a May 23, 2024 announcement, Shift Up said Boss Challenge lets players fight the 19 bosses from the base game. It requires battle data from bosses you have already defeated, so a particular encounter may not be available until you have progressed far enough. The announcement also says Hard difficulty becomes available after you have seen the ending. These details reflect the announcement; check your current game build for changes.

How to practice parrying and perfect dodges
Boss Challenge is a repeatable place to focus on boss-specific timing. The following drill is a practical way to use its recorded results, not a developer-prescribed training routine.

- Choose a boss you have unlocked. Start with the encounter whose attacks you want to learn; the announcement says access depends on previously defeated bosses.
- Choose gear or a preset for your goal. If you want to concentrate on timing with a more forgiving setup, try a lower-challenge preset. If you want to rehearse under greater pressure, try a more demanding setup or your own gear. This is guidance for structuring practice; the announcement does not quantify how the presets change difficulty.
- Pick one timing goal for the attempt. For example, concentrate on perfect parries during one attack string, or on perfect dodges against a particular attack. Keeping the goal narrow makes it easier to interpret the result.
- Review the analysis after the fight. The game reports battle time, perfect parries, perfect dodges, and consumable use. Use the relevant count to judge whether you are landing the timing you chose to practice, then repeat the encounter with that same focus.
Gear, presets, difficulty, and reward
The choice between your own gear and a preset depends on what you want from a run: use the setup that helps you focus on timing, or one that better resembles the challenge you want to rehearse. Because Shift Up’s announcement does not enumerate preset stats, it cannot support a precise preset-by-preset recommendation.
The announcement also refers to Normal and Hard difficulty, but does not provide a complete comparison of current difficulty settings. It says that defeating all bosses on Normal difficulty or higher earns Eve’s Neurolink Suit. If you are working toward that reward, confirm the requirement and availability in your current game.

What the announcement does not explain
Shift Up’s announcement does not document how to open a separate training room, set a practice enemy’s attack pattern, or configure a dummy to repeat a move. It establishes Boss Challenge as a way to fight previously encountered bosses and review performance metrics; it does not establish those training-room features or provide exact menu navigation. Check the current in-game interface for available practice options.
