Interacting with the repeater triggers a fight; clear the threat, use the repeater again, then climb back down and report to Nitro.
Where to start the repeater objective
The repeater is part of the Unexpected Alliance main mission in Cost of Hope. Nitro sends Skif to investigate after the repeater goes quiet. Find Nitro at the Testing Ground in the Iron Forest and begin the climb from his position.

- Take the ladder opposite Nitro. It leads to the first platform and the start of the ascent.
- Follow the broken metal framework. Continue across the connected beams and platforms, using the ladders along the way to gain height.
- Cross gaps carefully. The route is narrow and exposed, and a fall can be fatal. Stop to judge each crossing instead of rushing.
- Respond to the anomaly you encounter. Guides describe different hazards on the ascent: one reports floating leaves that launch Skif across a gap and recommends moving backward as the launch begins; another describes an electrical anomaly that can be suppressed briefly with an electro-orb, with bolts used against other anomalies. These descriptions may refer to different hazards or route conditions, so use the cue visible in your game rather than assuming both techniques apply to the same obstacle.
- Continue to the tower top. Follow the structure and platforms until you reach the repeater.
What to do when you reach the repeater
Interact with the repeater once to trigger the malfunction encounter. A hostile threat appears; the guides describe it as a Poltergeist or a flying anomaly. Defeat it, then interact with the repeater a second time. Check that the mission objective updates before leaving the tower.

How to get back to Nitro
Retrace the tower route and descend using its platforms and ladders. Do not jump down: hazards remain on the way back, and the exposed climb makes a fall dangerous. Once at the bottom, speak with Nitro to continue Unexpected Alliance.
