Neither processor is a universal winner in the available comparison: 91mobiles reports higher AnTuTu and Geekbench multi-core scores for Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while Apple A18 leads in Geekbench single-core. Those are results from 91mobiles’ tested devices, not a controlled chip-only comparison, so the phone and workload still matter.
Key specifications at a glance
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is a Qualcomm mobile platform. Apple A18 is a processor used in phones including iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, according to 91mobiles. The figures below come from Qualcomm’s platform page and 91mobiles’ A18 listing; they are not a like-for-like measure of performance.

| Specification | Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 | Apple A18 |
|---|---|---|
| CPU details | Kryo CPU, up to 3 GHz (Qualcomm) | Six cores: two at 4.05 GHz and four at 2.42 GHz (91mobiles) |
| Process node | 4 nm (Qualcomm) | 3 nm (91mobiles) |
| Graphics | Adreno GPU (Qualcomm) | Not stated on the cited 91mobiles A18 page |
| Connectivity and platform features | X70 5G modem, FastConnect 7800, Wi-Fi 7 support, and Qualcomm AI Engine (Qualcomm) | Not stated in the cited A18 listing |
| Example host phones | Qualcomm identifies this as a mobile platform; the cited Qualcomm page does not establish a complete phone list | iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus (91mobiles) |
Qualcomm’s platform specifications are available on its Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 product page. The A18 core, clock and process figures, and example phone list, are 91mobiles’ reporting on its Apple A18 processor page. Clock speed, core count and process-node labels alone do not determine how fast a phone feels or performs over time.

Source: 91mobiles’ Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 vs Apple A18 comparison, accessed in 2026. The results do not all point in the same direction: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 has the higher reported AnTuTu total, but A18 leads in both Geekbench results listed here. AnTuTu and Geekbench use different tests, so their scores should not be compared directly against each other.
What the scores can—and cannot—tell you
Single-core performance
The Geekbench single-core result favors A18 in 91mobiles’ comparison. It is one indicator for workloads that lean heavily on a single CPU core, but it does not establish that every A18 phone will feel faster in every everyday task.

Multi-core performance
91mobiles reports A18 ahead in Geekbench multi-core as well. Its AnTuTu total, however, is lower than the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 result in the same publisher’s comparison. These differing outcomes are a reason to consider the test and device behind each figure rather than treating one score as an all-purpose verdict.

Graphics, games and sustained loads
The cited results do not provide a controlled, matched gaming comparison or establish graphics performance under equivalent conditions. They also do not resolve how either processor performs during long sessions, when handset cooling and thermal limits can affect sustained speed. For games or demanding apps, look for tests of the specific phones you are considering.

How to choose between phones using these processors
These are components in complete phones, not standalone products. A chip comparison cannot settle differences in price, software ecosystem, battery life, cooling, display, camera or storage; the cited sources do not offer a matched evaluation of those factors. Compare the actual models available to you:
- For CPU-heavy work: use the benchmark results as one clue, checking the test type and the specific phone tested.
- For gaming: prioritize sustained game performance and thermals in the exact handset, rather than assuming the chip label predicts the result.
- For battery life: compare phone-level tests and your expected use; these processor scores do not establish comparative battery life.
- For overall value: weigh the phone’s local price, software and support, camera, display, storage and other features against your needs.
Bottom line
The available 91mobiles scores do not establish one processor as the outright winner: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 leads its reported AnTuTu total, while Apple A18 leads its Geekbench single- and multi-core results. Use that split as context, then choose based on the performance and features of the specific phones you can buy.
