Can You Hide the “Related support” Section in Windows 11 Settings?

No supported, reliable Windows 11 setting to hide Related support has been confirmed. The suggested Recommendations & offers setting did not remove it for one community poster.

There is no verified, supported Windows 11 setting to hide the “Related support” section in Settings. A Microsoft Q&A answer from December 2023 said no disable option was available then, and a September 2026 community discussion did not establish a working fix. That does not prove the behavior is identical on every current Windows build, but none of the sources checked confirms a reliable built-in control.

Is there a setting that turns off Related support?

No confirmed built-in hide control is established by the available information. The December 2, 2023 answer on Microsoft Q&A said there was no option to disable the section at that time and suggested sending feedback through Feedback Hub. That answer is dated and anonymous, so it is not proof of what every Windows 11 version offers today.

A community thread opened September 25, 2026 on ElevenForum likewise did not identify a verified supported method. Participants reported that the panel appeared inconsistently across Settings pages and systems. These are user reports, not controlled tests or Microsoft documentation.

Will turning off Recommendations & offers remove it?

Do not treat this as a confirmed fix. In the 2026 thread, a participant suggested checking Settings > Privacy & security > Recommendations & offers. The thread starter reported that those options were already off and Related support remained. You can inspect the setting if you wish, but the reports do not show that changing it hides the panel.

What should you avoid trying as a proven solution?

The available sources do not verify that changing account type, switching browsers, adjusting firewall rules, or removing Windows components controls Related support. They also do not establish a registry edit or third-party system modification as a safe, reliable fix. Avoid following such steps on the assumption that they are confirmed solutions.

How can you ask Microsoft to change it?

If you want the section to be removable, send feedback through the Windows Feedback Hub or vote for relevant existing feedback there. This is a way to tell Microsoft what you want; it does not hide the panel immediately.
