1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsThe Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 are close in the published comparisons—not a clear win for either chip across every test. NanoReview and 91mobiles both report higher aggregate and multi-core scores for the 6s Gen 4, while single-core results narrowly favor the 7s Gen 2. Both carry a 4 nm process designation and a peak CPU clock of up to 2.4 GHz in the cited specifications. These are database and device results, not a controlled test of two otherwise identical phones.
Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 vs Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 at a glance
| Specification or result | Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 | Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Process designation | 4 nm (Qualcomm) | 4 nm (Qualcomm) |
| CPU peak clock | Up to 2.4 GHz (Qualcomm) | Up to 2.4 GHz (Qualcomm) |
| Detailed CPU arrangement | Four Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores up to 1.8 GHz (Notebookcheck) | Four Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores up to 1.95 GHz (NanoReview) |
| GPU | Adreno 710 (Notebookcheck) | Adreno GPU; NanoReview identifies it as Adreno 710 |
| Connectivity and platform features listed in cited sources | Qualcomm catalog confirms a 5G modem; detailed radio specifications are not stated in that catalog entry | X62 5G modem, peak download speed up to 2.9 Gbps, Wi-Fi 6E and Quick Charge 4+ (Qualcomm) |
Qualcomm lists the 6s Gen 4 as a 4 nm mobile platform with a CPU clock up to 2.4 GHz, a 5G modem, Quick Charge 4+ and Spectra ISP. Its catalog entry does not provide all detailed radio specifications. The 7s Gen 2 page specifies a Kryo CPU up to 2.4 GHz, 4 nm process, X62 modem, up to 2.9 Gbps peak download speed, Wi-Fi 6E and Quick Charge 4+. See Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6-series catalog and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 page.

The detailed core configurations above come from secondary sources, not a matching level of detail on both Qualcomm pages. Treat them as reported configurations, rather than assuming the branded platform specifications alone establish a performance winner. A shared 4 nm label also does not prove equal power efficiency.
Benchmark comparison: published scores
The two databases show a similar broad pattern, but their scores come from different testing bases. Keep each publisher’s results together rather than treating them as one common test run.

NanoReview results
| Benchmark | Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 | Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 | What the result indicates |
|---|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu 11 | 829,894 (10 tests shown) | 798,429 (64 tests shown) | 6s Gen 4 leads in this database’s aggregate result |
| Geekbench 6 single-core | 1,009 | 1,015 | 7s Gen 2 leads narrowly |
| Geekbench 6 multi-core | 2,892 (7 tests shown) | 2,687 (33 tests shown) | 6s Gen 4 leads in this database’s multi-core result |
NanoReview’s displayed comparison was accessed in 2026; sample counts differ between chips and tests. The scores are database results, not a controlled matched-phone assessment. Details are on the NanoReview comparison page.
91mobiles results
| Benchmark | Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 | Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 | What the result indicates |
|---|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu | 889,090 | 851,360 | 6s Gen 4 leads in 91mobiles’ comparison |
| Geekbench single-core | 1,016 | 1,025 | 7s Gen 2 leads narrowly |
| Geekbench multi-core | 2,979 | 2,951 | 6s Gen 4 leads narrowly |
91mobiles describes these as results from real-world testing of devices; its 6s Gen 4 product page labels 889,090 the highest score recorded by a device using that chipset. The comparison was accessed in 2026. It is not a matched-device test, and those scores should not be combined with NanoReview’s figures. See the 91mobiles comparison.

What the benchmark comparison does—and does not—show
- Aggregate and multi-core: Both cited sources favor the 6s Gen 4 in their aggregate or AnTuTu figures and in multi-core results.
- Single-core: Both sources give the 7s Gen 2 a small lead. The gap is narrow in each reported comparison.
- Scores are not interchangeable: Benchmark version, device model, software, sample count and update timing can affect results. NanoReview and 91mobiles report different absolute values, and they do not describe one common test run.
- No controlled gaming comparison is established here: The available figures do not show sustained frame rates, temperatures or performance in the same game on matched phones.
Peak CPU clocks and aggregate benchmark scores are only pieces of the picture. The cited pages do not establish which chip sustains higher performance in equivalent handsets, or which delivers better battery life.
How to choose between phones using these chips
For everyday apps and multitasking
Compare reviews of the exact phone models. Look for performance under sustained use, thermal behavior, RAM and storage configuration, battery endurance, display characteristics and software support. Those device-level differences may matter more to daily use than a small gap in a database benchmark.

For gaming
Look for tests of the exact phone and game, especially sustained frame rate and temperature after extended play. A chip-level score does not establish gaming performance in a particular handset: cooling and manufacturer power limits affect how the platform performs over time.
For mobile network use
Check the phone’s supported radio bands and carrier certification for your region. A modem’s peak capability is not enough to confirm that a particular phone supports the bands or network features you need. Phone makers choose how to implement platform features, so the presence of a chip-level capability does not guarantee identical support on every device.

Frequently asked specification questions
Does the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 have a higher CPU clock?
No difference is established in the cited peak-clock specifications: Qualcomm lists the 6s Gen 4 up to 2.4 GHz, and the 7s Gen 2 page lists its Kryo CPU up to 2.4 GHz. A peak clock alone does not determine comparative performance.
Recommended Free Tools
Does Quick Charge 4+ guarantee a specific charging time?
No. Qualcomm says Quick Charge is designed to increase a device’s battery charge by up to 50% in 5 minutes, but its page cautions that actual results may vary depending on device design. That is vendor guidance, not a guaranteed result for every phone.
