On paper, the Dimensity 7360 platform is the stronger chip. MediaTek lists faster, newer CPU cores (four Cortex-A78 at up to 2.5 GHz), Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 and a higher peak 5G downlink. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 tops out at up to 2.3 GHz, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. What the numbers can’t settle is a measured winner. The one benchmark set available is for the Dimensity chip alone, and no matched Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 result exists to compare it with.
Specifications side by side
The table uses MediaTek’s and Qualcomm’s official specification pages. MediaTek’s page is titled “Dimensity 7360”, not “Turbo”, so it does not confirm that every figure applies identically to a Turbo-branded handset. All values are platform ceilings. Phone makers choose their own sensors, displays, memory, modem bands, cooling and software.

What the spec differences mean
CPU
The Cortex-A78 is a high-performance core design. On paper, four of them at up to 2.5 GHz give MediaTek’s chip the stronger CPU. Qualcomm lists only “Kryo” cores up to 2.3 GHz and does not publish the core layout on its page. The 2.2 GHz Snapdragon variant means two phones sold as “Snapdragon 4 Gen 2” may not be configured identically. Clock speed alone doesn’t decide performance, since architecture, memory and thermal limits matter too. Still, the published ceiling favors the Dimensity.
Graphics and gaming
The two chips use different GPU families, Mali-G615 MC2 and Adreno, and the pages publish no directly comparable GPU figure. Qualcomm lists Vulkan 1.1 and OpenGL ES 3.2 support. A GPU’s real gaming result depends on drivers, game optimization, screen resolution and how long the phone can hold its clocks before throttling.

Connectivity
This is the clearest gap. Wi-Fi 6E adds the 6 GHz band, which helps only if you have a 6E router. Bluetooth 5.4 is newer than 5.1. MediaTek’s 3.27 Gbps peak 5G downlink beats Qualcomm’s 2.5 Gbps, but peaks are lab ceilings. Real speeds depend on your carrier, bands and signal. Which 5G bands work in your country is set by the phone’s modem and radio configuration, so check that for the exact model.
Display and camera
The Dimensity platform supports higher refresh options (144 Hz at Full HD+) and a larger maximum sensor (200 MP). In practice most phones at this price pair either chip with a 90–120 Hz Full HD+ panel and a modest main camera. The panel and sensor the maker fits matter more than the chip’s ceiling.

Benchmark evidence
91mobiles’ page for the Dimensity 7360 Turbo reports these results. The page doesn’t state a year, and describes them as the highest recorded scores among devices running the chip:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →- AnTuTu: 990,352
- Geekbench single-core: 1,027
- Geekbench multi-core: 2,907
Read these with care. They are reported device results from a third-party dataset, not MediaTek claims and not a guaranteed score. They are best-case figures, so a typical phone may score lower. The page doesn’t state the benchmark versions, the handset or the cooling. No Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 result measured under matched conditions was established, so there is no fair numeric head-to-head here. Be skeptical of any page that puts the two chips’ scores in one chart without naming the benchmark version, tested phone and date for both.

Qualcomm’s own launch claim for the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 is up to 10% better CPU performance, but that is relative to its predecessor in the 4-series, not to MediaTek’s chip. Qualcomm announced the platform on June 26, 2023, calling it the first 4 nm platform in the 4-series. Matthew Lopatka, director of product management at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., said: “With this generational advancement in the Snapdragon 4-series, consumers will have greater access to the most popular and relevant mobile features and capabilities.”
Naming caveat: 7360 vs 7360 Turbo
MediaTek’s official page covers “Dimensity 7360”. The benchmark listing uses “Dimensity 7360 Turbo”. The two names are likely closely related, but the official page doesn’t establish that the Turbo has identical specifications. Check the exact specifications of the phone you’re considering rather than assuming equivalence.

How to choose between phones
You are buying a phone, not a loose processor. When comparing two handsets, one with each chip, weigh these factors:
- Sustained performance: look for long-run gaming or stress-test results on the specific phone, not just peak scores.
- Battery life: capacity, charging speed and software tuning count for more than a chip’s efficiency claims.
- Display: refresh rate, brightness and resolution as shipped.
- Camera: the sensor, lens and tuning chosen by the brand.
- Memory and storage: RAM type and UFS version fitted, which may be below the chip’s maximum.
- 5G bands and Wi-Fi: make sure the phone supports your carrier’s bands, and that you have a Wi-Fi 6E router if that matters to you.
- Price and availability: both vary by region and over time.
As one example of a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 phone, 91mobiles lists the Xiaomi Redmi 13 5G. Configurations and retail listings vary by region, so verify current details before buying. No named Dimensity 7360 Turbo phone was established for a parallel comparison.
