In Part 6, Chapter 14, find the Reference Sheet and Controller Key at CEG HQ, enter A5D7 at the ALARM STATUS panel and E3E3 at the COMMAND CONSOLE, then set the four floor valves: floor 1 right twice, floor 2 left once, floor 3 left twice, and floor 4 right twice. Run Gas Flow’s Flow Test and press IGNITE when the indicators are green.
Where to find the FIX THIS puzzle items
The puzzle takes place in Part 6, Chapter 14, at CEG HQ in its “Different” state. Before using the panels, collect two items:

- Reference Sheet: on a table near the ground-floor console. It contains the codes for the panels.
- Controller Key: in a box on Floor 2, near the valve or crank.
Enter the codes at the correct panels
The two codes serve different purposes, so enter each at its matching panel.
- Return to the ground floor and insert the Controller Key into the ALARM STATUS panel. Enter A5D7 and confirm.
- At the COMMAND CONSOLE, enter E3E3. This releases the rotation clamps so you can adjust the valves.
Set the valve direction on each floor
Use the elevator to reach each floor and rotate its valve according to this sequence. The directions and number of turns are counted separately for each floor.

- Experienced entirely in first person, explore, evade, and survive using a limited set of weapons and tools, including a pocket television used to tune into unstable signals. Evasion is tense; combat is frenetic, while narrative driven puzzles reveal a truth that refuses to stay submerged.
- SILENT HILL: Townfall is a full-length, self-contained psychological horror set against the cold, isolated backdrop of Scotland, 1996
| Floor | Direction | Turns |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Right | 2 |
| 2 | Left | 1 |
| 3 | Left | 2 |
| 4 | Right | 2 |
The adjustments connect the pipe route through the floors. You can follow the listed turns or watch the pipe connections as you rotate each valve; use the console’s test to confirm the completed route.

Run the flow test and ignite
- Return to the COMMAND CONSOLE and select Gas Flow.
- Select Flow Test. The outlet, inlet, and floor sections should show green when the route is correct.
- When the indicators are green, press IGNITE.
- Leave through the crouch-height gap beside the yellow-marked rubble.
Fix common code and valve errors
- A5D7 is rejected: make sure the Controller Key is inserted, and enter the code at ALARM STATUS—not at COMMAND CONSOLE.
- The clamps are still locked: enter E3E3 at COMMAND CONSOLE. It is separate from the alarm panel.
- Flow Test shows red: revisit the valve on the indicated floor and check its direction and number of turns against the table.
- A code does not match: check the in-game Reference Sheet. The codes and steps above are reported by third-party walkthroughs; Konami has not published an official code sheet. The game’s own clue should take precedence if it displays a different value.
