Silent Hill: Townfall launched on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Konami describes it as a full-length game, but has not published an official playtime estimate or a list of selectable difficulty settings. Its encounters allow different approaches, including combat and evasion, and player actions shape the endings.
How long is Silent Hill: Townfall?
Konami calls Silent Hill: Townfall a “full-length” game, but its official launch announcement and developer interviews do not give an average time to finish, a main-story estimate, or a completionist estimate. There is no substantiated hours figure to use, so “full-length” should not be treated as a specific number of hours.

What platforms is Silent Hill: Townfall on?
Konami announced the game for PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Konami’s launch announcement is dated September 24, 2026.
Konami’s June 2 announcement said physical versions were available for PS5 pre-order. That announcement establishes the planned format, not current stock or availability in every region; check the current retailer listing before buying. Konami also described Standard and Deluxe editions. The Deluxe pre-order offer included a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, alternate Simon outfit, and 48-hour early access; the early-access offer was tied to pre-ordering and should not be assumed to apply to purchases now.

- Experienced entirely in first person, explore, evade, and survive using a limited set of weapons and tools, including a pocket television used to tune into unstable signals. Evasion is tense; combat is frenetic, while narrative driven puzzles reveal a truth that refuses to stay submerged.
- SILENT HILL: Townfall is a full-length, self-contained psychological horror set against the cold, isolated backdrop of Scotland, 1996
Does Silent Hill: Townfall have difficulty settings?
The official descriptions reviewed do not list selectable difficulty modes or a formal difficulty rating. That means a difficulty menu is not confirmed by those sources; it does not establish how challenging the finished game will feel.
Instead, the developer describes flexibility in how players handle encounters. In a July 30, 2026 PlayStation.Blog interview, writer and director Jon McKellan said players have multiple options and can experiment with approaches suited to each situation. This is about encounter choice, not confirmation of an easy mode or a difficulty selector.

- Returning to an island town to ‘put things right’, Simon Ordell descends into a world of tense evasion, explosive confrontations, and mind-bending puzzles that slowly surface the truth of St. Amelia
- Simon Ordell is called back to the island of St. Amelia to ‘put things right’, encountering a town lying quiet beneath a heavy fog, seemingly abandoned but not at rest
- Venturing deeper, and driven to understand his connection to the place and its inhabitants, Simon begins to discover fragments of a past rising to the surface
- Experienced entirely in first person, Simon must explore, evade, and survive using a limited set of weapons and tools, including the CRTV, a pocket television used to tune into unstable signals. Evasion is tense; combat is frenetic, while narrative driven puzzles reveal a truth that refuses to stay submerged
How do combat, stealth, and the CRTV work?
Townfall is a first-person psychological horror game set on St. Amelia, a remote island off Scotland. Simon Ordell uses the CRTV to scout threats, search for clues, and explore. Konami’s descriptions emphasize narrative-linked puzzles alongside hiding, combat, and evasion. A June 2 PlayStation.Blog post says some enemies call for combat while others require evasion; using the CRTV and moving carefully can help assess threats. The game’s design therefore supports more than one way to approach encounters, without establishing that every encounter can be solved through stealth.

How many endings are there, and do you need another playthrough?
McKellan said that actions across the playthrough shape the ending rather than a single binary choice at the end. He also said all three main endings can be reached in a first playthrough. A secret ending becomes accessible after completing the game once, so that statement about the main endings should not be extended to the secret ending.

- Day One Edition Bonus: CRTV Style: Rusted, CRTV Style: Beach Edition
- When Simon Ordell is called back to the island of St. Amelia to "put things in order", he meets a city lying quietly in dense fog, seemingly abandoned, yet anything but dormant
- After venturing further to understand his connection to this place and its inhabitants, he gradually discovers fragments of the past rising to the surface
- Simon must explore, evade and survive from a first-person perspective. It uses a limited arsenal of weapons and tools, including the CRTV: a portable TV to receive unstable signals
- The dodging is tension, the battles are hectic and the story-based puzzles reveal a truth that does not want to remain hidden
Is Silent Hill: Townfall a full-length Silent Hill game?
Konami presents Townfall as a full-length entry, not a shorter standalone version, and describes it as the series’ first full-length game presented entirely from a first-person perspective. That framing answers the format question, but it does not provide a completion-time estimate.
