Sifu Mobile launched on October 12, 2026, for iPhone and Android. The mobile edition keeps Sloclap’s complete story campaign and its defining revenge-and-aging system, while adding touch controls built for phones, improved contextual interactions, a reworked camera and full controller support.
What is Sifu?
Sifu is a third-person Kung Fu brawler from Paris-based independent studio Sloclap. You play a martial-arts student hunting the people who murdered their family. Fights combine strikes, combos, dodges, parries and positioning with improvised weapons and environmental opportunities, including throwable objects, windows and ledges.

The game’s central idea is practice through failure. As the official iOS description puts it, “Kung Fu is mastery through practice, a path for both the body and the mind.” Its other guiding phrase is “Adaptation is Survival.”
The original 2022 release earned global acclaim. Sloclap says it has sold more than 4 million units across all platforms and received multiple industry awards.

What changed for the mobile release?
Touch controls designed for phones
The iOS listing says the port adds new touch controls designed specifically for mobile devices. The layout must handle movement, attacks, dodges and parries on a small screen, rather than simply reproducing a console control scheme.
Camera and contextual-interaction revisions
Mobile also has a reworked camera system and enhanced contextual interactions. Those changes are intended to make navigation, environmental attacks and other situation-sensitive actions clearer when playing on a phone.

Full controller support
Both the iOS and Android listings state that the game supports controllers fully. A compatible Bluetooth gamepad is therefore an alternative to touch input, especially for repeated parry-and-dodge sequences where physical buttons may feel more precise or comfortable. The available information does not establish a measured performance advantage for either control method.

Yes. The Android listing describes the complete story campaign as optimized for mobile play. The campaign takes the protagonist through locations such as a nightclub, an art gallery and an office building while skills and shortcuts develop through repeated attempts.

The age mechanic remains intact. A mysterious amulet revives the protagonist after death, but each death increases their age. Older returns can make progress possible in some respects, yet leave fewer years before the character reaches a final death. Every failed fight is consequently a strategic trade-off: continue with accumulated knowledge, or restart and try to preserve a younger run.
Does the mobile edition include Arenas?
Sloclap’s official Sifu website describes the free Arenas expansion as adding five game modes, nine dynamic locations and 45 challenges. The mobile launch materials identify the complete story campaign, but do not provide a separate, current platform-by-platform breakdown of every Arenas feature. Check the store listing and in-game update notes for the edition available to your account.

How the aging system affects the way you play
- Learn the encounter. Early attempts reveal enemy patterns, routes and environmental weapons.
- Use each death as information. A failed parry or poor position teaches which attacks need a dodge, block or counter.
- Watch your age. Death raises the protagonist’s age and reduces the margin for future mistakes.
- Protect useful progress. Skills and familiarity with levels make later runs more efficient, but an excessively old character risks the final death.
This loop is why Sifu is often described as a martial-arts game about practice rather than a conventional beat-’em-up. The official site has called it “a vibrant and powerful tribute to martial arts,” while the amulet turns failure into part of the progression system.
Availability and regional store details
Sifu Mobile is available on both iOS and Android from October 12, 2026. Store prices, ratings, supported-device lists and version histories are regional and can change. For example, an App Store page observed in the Philippines displayed ₱299 and seven ratings; that is not a universal price or review consensus. Check the store page for your country immediately before purchase.
