SES describes a mixed ERP landscape, not one fully consolidated system. Its 2025 Annual Report says nearly all significant affiliates from before the Intelsat combination used a centrally managed, cloud-based SAP ERP platform. It separately identifies Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics, and Navision 2016 as legacy Intelsat systems governed within the same enterprise control framework.
What ERP system does SES use?
In its fiscal-year 2025 Annual Report, filed in 2026, SES says: “Nearly all SES’s (pre-Intelsat combination) significant affiliates operate on a centrally managed cloud-based SAP ERP platform, applying consistent processes, controls, and backup procedures.” The qualification matters: the statement describes the pre-combination SES footprint, not a claim that every SES entity now runs SAP.

The report also names three legacy Intelsat enterprise systems: Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics, and Navision 2016. SES says those systems are governed under the same enterprise control framework. That points to governance spanning multiple platforms, rather than proof that the products have been replaced or merged into a single ERP.
How does SES manage legacy ERP systems after the Intelsat combination?
The public description suggests a coexistence model: a centrally managed SAP core for much of the pre-combination SES business, alongside acquired systems subject to common enterprise controls. SES discloses security policies for SAP, Oracle, and Navision 2016, with access-management controls actively monitored and enhanced. Microsoft Dynamics is named in the legacy landscape, but the report passage does not specify a corresponding product-specific security policy.
#1 Best Overall
This is evidence of control governance across a heterogeneous estate; it is not evidence of a single shared database, one common software instance, or a completed ERP consolidation.
What resilience controls does SES disclose?
SES says it regularly tests its disaster-recovery plan to confirm that mission-critical back-office applications can be recovered within specific recovery-time objectives. It also says electronic information is regularly backed up and tested. The disclosed passage does not give the recovery-time objective values, identify which ERP product maps to each objective, or report recovery-test results.
What the architecture disclosure does—and does not—establish
The report supports a high-level view of platform scope and control practices, but not a technical architecture diagram. It does not identify SAP’s generation, the cloud provider hosting SAP, interface topology, data-conversion approach, consolidation schedule, or target-state architecture. It also provides no quantified ERP cost savings, implementation duration, productivity gains, or system count beyond naming the platform families.
For comparisons with another company, the useful dimensions are how much the estate is standardized versus coexisting across products, how access and control governance spans those products, what backup and disaster-recovery evidence is published, and how clearly acquisition-era systems and transition plans are described. SES’s disclosures support those comparison questions but do not provide quantified performance outcomes.

Historical context
SES’s 2023 report described its main trading operations as using centrally managed, cloud-based SAP ERP with consistent processes, controls, and backup. It also mentioned an Azure cloud platform and ServiceNow incident and service-request workflows. Those earlier disclosures provide context, but do not establish that every component or arrangement remained unchanged in 2025.
