ServiceTitan and FieldAware both cover core field-service work—scheduling, dispatch, mobile operations, work orders, and reporting—but their stated strengths point to different buying questions. ServiceTitan highlights residential sales workflows and construction project tools; FieldAware emphasizes mobile work orders, broad industry coverage, and NetSuite-focused workflows. The right fit depends on the jobs your team actually runs, not on a feature checklist alone.
What both platforms cover
Both products address scheduling and dispatch, mobile field work, work orders or job management, and reporting. The ServiceTitan comparison also lists customer relationship management, SMS notifications, and QuickBooks integrations as areas of overlap. ServiceTitan’s feature catalog names scheduling, dispatch, work-order management, a mobile app, project tracking, job costing, partner integrations, and API capabilities. FieldAware describes mobile access to job details, checklists, customer information, scheduling and dispatch tools, notifications, reporting, and job costing. ServiceTitan’s comparison and FieldAware’s product overview are vendor sources, so use them to identify workflows to validate rather than as independent proof of feature parity.

Where the feature emphasis differs
Residential estimates and sales
ServiceTitan’s comparison emphasizes Good Better Best proposal templates and a technician-facing presentation flow. It describes financing as part of that sales workflow, alongside online payment and e-sign flows. These are ServiceTitan’s claims; confirm the current workflow, financing availability, and any geographic or eligibility limits in a demonstration.

The same comparison says it did not find a specific FieldAware feature set for this proposal model and characterizes FieldAware’s online payments as different from a real-time financing workflow. That is not independent evidence that FieldAware cannot support your process. Ask FieldAware to demonstrate a complete option-based residential proposal, including templates, pricebook linkage, mobile presentation, customer approval, financing application, and signature steps.
Construction and longer-running projects
ServiceTitan’s comparison describes project workflows for estimates, material and equipment requisitions, purchase orders, project summaries, budget-versus-actual job costing, applications for payment, continuation sheets, and invoicing. Its feature catalog also lists project tracking and job costing, though it does not identify which subscription tier includes each feature.
FieldAware identifies construction among the industries it serves and describes operational and work-order tools. The claim that it lacks robust subcontractor project-management support comes from ServiceTitan’s comparison, not an independent assessment. Bring a representative project to both demos and test progress billing, retainage, cost tracking, purchasing, continuation documents, and the accounting handoff.

Mobile operations and industry breadth

It also highlights a NetSuite-focused offering with real-time workflows and technician access to parts visibility. Confirm the exact records and actions technicians can use in the field, especially if connectivity is unreliable.

ServiceTitan’s comparison emphasizes HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and selected other trades, with residential heritage and commercial and construction workflows. FieldAware’s materials describe work across construction, property and facility management, industrial and commercial equipment, and other sectors. ServiceTitan’s comparison characterizes FieldAware as serving “100+ field service industries”; that is the comparison vendor’s description, not an independently audited count. Industry breadth alone does not establish fit for a particular service line.

How to compare integrations and total fit
The comparison identifies QuickBooks integrations for both products. ServiceTitan’s catalog describes partner integrations and API capabilities; FieldAware describes NetSuite workflows and broader accounting, ERP, and CRM integration capabilities. These descriptions do not settle the detailed specifications for a particular connector.
For each accounting or ERP system you depend on, ask the vendor to use representative records in a demo and specify:
Rank #4
- Which records and fields synchronize, and in which direction.
- How often synchronization runs and how users see or resolve errors.
- Whether the connection is a supported connector, partner integration, or custom API work.
- Who maintains the connection and handles support when data does not transfer as expected.
Neither reviewed product page establishes current pricing, implementation costs, contract terms, or complete feature entitlements by plan. Request written pricing and a feature-by-plan matrix based on your technician count, service lines, operating regions, integrations, and required workflows.
Use these demonstrations to make the decision
- Run a typical residential call. Start with estimate creation, build multiple proposal options, record customer acceptance, and test financing and payment steps if your process requires them.
- Walk through a long-duration or construction job. Include job costing, requisitions or purchasing, progress billing, project documents, and invoice handoff.
- Test dispatch changes on mobile. Change an assignment, show how the technician receives and updates it, then inspect customer status visibility and completion documents.
- Connect your real accounting or ERP workflow. Use representative records and ask about synchronization, exceptions, and support ownership.
- Get commercial details in writing. Confirm the proposed modules, plan entitlements, implementation charges, contract commitments, and recurring costs for your exact team and regions.
For each scenario, define what a successful result looks like before the demo. Compare the steps and handoffs your staff would actually use, and ask both vendors to show any disputed capability rather than relying on a competitor’s description.
