ScreenshotOne has the lower published entry price and a free monthly allowance; Urlbox offers more self-service tiers and a higher listed request rate on its Business plan. Which one is the better fit depends on your monthly volume, required capture features, throughput, support needs, and how each service counts failed or cached renders. Neither vendor’s published pages establish a controlled head-to-head winner for speed or screenshot quality.

ScreenshotOne vs Urlbox at a glance

Decision ScreenshotOne Urlbox
Lowest published option 100 screenshots per month free; Basic is $17/month for 2,000 screenshots. Lo-Fi is $19/month for 2,000 renders; a seven-day free trial is listed for several self-service tiers.
Listed request rate 40 requests/minute on Basic, 80 on Growth, and 150 on Scale. 30 requests/minute on Lo-Fi, 60 on Hi-Fi, 250 on Ultra, and 1,000 on Business; Enterprise has no stated limit.
Notable published capabilities Image and PDF capture, HTML rendering, full-page shots, caching, S3 upload, webhooks, signed links, and stealth mode appear on the pricing page; some options vary by plan. URL and HTML rendering, image/PDF/video outputs, structured data extraction, responsive, full-page and element screenshots, and 100+ browser rendering options are described on the product page; plan availability varies.
Failed renders HTTP, browser, or network errors do not count; visual issues may still count. Urlbox defines a successful render as one that returns an image. Confirm how the definition applies to the output and use case you need.

These are vendor-published terms accessed in 2026, not results of a service test. Prices exclude VAT where stated by the vendors. Check the live ScreenshotOne pricing and Urlbox pricing pages before budgeting because prices and limits can change.

How to compare the features that affect your bill

Start with your render volume

At the same published quota of 2,000 monthly renders, ScreenshotOne Basic is listed at $17/month and Urlbox Lo-Fi at $19/month. That makes ScreenshotOne the cheaper published entry tier, but the two plans should not be assumed to provide identical capabilities. If you need more than 2,000 renders, compare the next plan that meets your feature and throughput requirements rather than extrapolating from the starting price.

Match capture and output requirements to the tier

Both services advertise URL capture and full-page screenshots. ScreenshotOne’s pricing page lists PDF rendering, multiple image formats, HTML rendering, caching, S3 upload, automation integrations, webhooks, signed links, and stealth mode across its displayed paid plans; it lists location selection, scrolling screenshots, and video on Growth, and GPU rendering and priority support on Scale.

Urlbox’s product page describes URL and HTML rendering, image, PDF and video outputs, structured data extraction, responsive, full-page and element screenshots, and more than 100 browser rendering options. Its pricing matrix assigns capabilities by tier, including distinctions in third-party-site capture, privacy and stealth, timeout and file-size limits, storage integrations, support, and business features. Check the matrix for the exact plan rather than assuming a feature applies everywhere.

Read request caps as throughput limits, not speed tests

A requests-per-minute cap tells you how many calls a plan permits over time; it does not establish how quickly an individual page renders or how reliable the service is. ScreenshotOne’s displayed paid plans range from 40 to 150 requests per minute. Urlbox lists 30 to 1,000 requests per minute from Lo-Fi through Business. The vendors’ published pages do not provide a controlled comparison of render latency or output quality.

Estimate billable renders, not just attempted calls

ScreenshotOne says screenshots that fail with HTTP, browser, or network errors do not count, while visual issues can still count. It also notes that a cache miss can trigger a new render and count against quota. Urlbox’s pricing FAQ defines a successful render as “A Successful Render is one that results in an image being returned to you.” Do not assume these definitions are interchangeable: model your workload using each vendor’s stated rules and ask the vendor how edge cases such as PDFs or partial visual failures are counted.

Which service fits your workload?

Consider ScreenshotOne if

  • You want the lower listed monthly price at the 2,000-render entry tier or a small free monthly allowance.
  • Your expected volume aligns with its published 2,000, 10,000, or 50,000 screenshot tiers.
  • You need a feature shown on the specific plan you are considering, such as location selection on Growth or GPU rendering on Scale.

Consider Urlbox if

  • You want a menu with more listed self-service volume steps, a Business tier, and an Enterprise offering.
  • Your workflow calls for capabilities described on its product page, such as structured data extraction or video output, after confirming their plan availability.
  • You need to evaluate its tiered support and business controls, including documented SLA or dedicated support terms, against your operational requirements.

Urlbox’s product page reports that it has rendered 800 million-plus screenshots for more than 1,700 customers; that is Urlbox’s own published scale claim, not an independently verified comparison metric. It does not establish that Urlbox is faster or produces better screenshots than ScreenshotOne.
