If a Screenshot.Rocks capture is blank, first check whether the editor itself is blank or whether the editor opened but the captured website is blank. The published guidance covers the optional server-side website capture—not a public API contract—so don’t assume an API endpoint, status code, or authentication rule. For URL-capture failures, verify the address and public access, retry, then capture the page in your own browser if the server cannot reach it.
First identify what is blank
- The Screenshot.Rocks editor is blank: The available Screenshot.Rocks guidance does not diagnose a blank editor page. Record your browser and device, the page URL, how you started the capture, and any visible error or console message. Do not share passwords, API keys, or other secrets.
- The editor loads, but the target screenshot is blank or missing: Follow the URL-capture checks below. The documented feature loads a website URL on a server as a first-time visitor.
- You are calling something you believe is an API: The official information referenced here describes an online mockup editor, optional website capture, and browser extensions; it does not establish a public API endpoint or response format. Check the documentation for the exact service or share the request details with support before applying API-specific fixes.

Why can Screenshot.Rocks URL capture fail?
According to Screenshot.Rocks’ capture guide, common causes include a mistyped address, a page that takes too long to load, or a site that blocks automated browsers. Server-side capture also cannot access a page behind a login or a local address such as localhost. It behaves as a first-time visitor, so it cannot reproduce your logged-in session.

- Check the URL. Correct spelling, scheme (such as
https://), and any path or query string. Open the same address in a normal browser to confirm it works. - Check whether the page is publicly reachable. A page restricted to your account, local machine, or private staging network will not be available to a remote capture server.
- Retry if the page is slow or blocks automated browsing. The guide identifies both slow loading and automated-browser blocking as possible failure causes. A retry may help with a temporary load problem, but it cannot make a login-protected or inaccessible local page public.
- Use your own browser if the server still cannot capture it. This is the documented workaround for pages the online capture cannot access, interaction states, and full-page captures.
Does Screenshot.Rocks capture the full page?
No. The online website-capture feature described in its guide captures the first screen, not an entire scrolling page. If you need content farther down the page, use a browser’s full-page capture feature and import the resulting image into the editor.

Some sites load images only as you scroll. For a browser full-page capture, Screenshot.Rocks’ full-page guide suggests scrolling down and back up before capturing so those images have a chance to load. This is different from the online URL capture’s first-screen behavior.
Capture the page in your browser and import it
Use this route for a logged-in page, a local or staging site, a specific interaction state, or a full-page image. The extension captures the visible tab; browser-native capture tools may provide full-page capture. Screenshot.Rocks explains its extension in the browser extension guide.

- Open the target page in your browser and sign in or set up the interaction state you need.
- If you need a full-page result, use your browser’s full-page capture option. If you only need what is currently visible, the Screenshot.Rocks extension captures the visible tab.
- Open the resulting screenshot in Screenshot.Rocks’ editor and import it for mockup editing.
Screenshot.Rocks says images added to the editor are processed in the browser. For optional server-side website capture, the target URL is sent to its server for rendering and the captured result is returned rather than stored. Its extension guide says the captured tab is sent to Screenshot.Rocks to open in the editor and is not stored.

If these checks do not resolve the problem, provide enough detail to distinguish a capture failure from an editor or request issue:
- Whether the editor page itself is blank or the target screenshot is blank.
- The target URL, with private query values or tokens removed.
- Whether the target requires a login, is local or staging, or depends on an interaction.
- Your browser and device, and whether you used URL capture, the extension, or a browser-native capture tool.
- Any visible error message or relevant console/network error, with secrets redacted.
Do not infer a particular API response, status code, or authentication requirement from a blank image alone; the cited Screenshot.Rocks pages do not specify a public API contract.
