Which Galaxy Tab S10 FE configuration fits your use?
The decision comes down to two separate needs: how much storage you want built into the tablet, and whether you need a cellular connection when Wi-Fi is unavailable. Storage and connectivity are not substitutes for each other: a microSD card adds removable storage, while 5G requires a compatible model and a carrier plan.

Is 128GB enough, or should you choose 256GB?
Choose 128GB if you can keep large files elsewhere
128GB is a reasonable starting point if you mainly use apps and online services, do not keep a large library of downloads on the tablet, or are comfortable managing files. The usable space available to you will be less than the stated capacity because the operating system and preinstalled content also use storage.
Samsung lists microSD expansion up to 2TB on the cited configurations. That card capacity is a supported maximum, not an amount of internal storage: removable storage remains separate from the tablet’s built-in capacity. Check card compatibility and whether the particular apps and files you use can be stored or accessed from a card before relying on it.

Choose 256GB for more built-in headroom
256GB gives you more internal space for apps, downloads, and files without depending as much on removable storage. It is the simpler choice if you prefer to keep more content on the tablet itself. Compare the current price of the 128GB and 256GB versions in your market; the available evidence does not establish a universal price difference.
Do you need the 5G version?
Wi-Fi is the practical default for Wi-Fi-first use
If the tablet will mostly stay at home, work, school, or other places with dependable Wi-Fi, the Wi-Fi configuration avoids choosing a cellular model and arranging mobile service for the tablet. The cited UK specifications list Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax on 2.4GHz and 5GHz, along with Bluetooth 5.3. These are listed standards, not independent measurements of speed or battery life.

Choose 5G when you need a connection away from Wi-Fi
A 5G model is worth considering if you regularly use the tablet on commutes, travel, or other places where Wi-Fi is unavailable or unreliable. Before purchase, confirm that the exact model code supports your carrier’s network bands, that coverage is adequate where you use it, and that the carrier will activate the device. Include the cost and terms of a data plan in the decision; a 5G-capable tablet does not itself provide mobile service.

Samsung’s regional specifications differ. For example, its UK 5G pages list 8GB of memory with 128GB storage and 12GB with 256GB, and their displayed 5G band sets differ. These examples do not establish the configuration or band support for every country. Verify the local listing and model code rather than assuming a specification carries over from another market.

What do the listed US prices tell you?
On Samsung’s US listings checked October 7, 2026, the 128GB Wi-Fi listing displayed $549.99, while the 128GB AT&T 5G listing displayed $649.99. These are dated prices from distinct listings, not a guaranteed current offer or proof of a fixed 5G surcharge. Prices and availability can vary by date, retailer, carrier, storage tier, and promotion. Compare like-for-like configurations in your region before deciding.
The US AT&T 5G specifications for the cited 128GB model list 8GB of memory, microSD support up to 2TB, dual-SIM, and a SIM 1 + embedded SIM + microSD slot. Those details apply to that listed configuration; do not treat them as global specifications.

How to make the choice
- Decide whether you need mobile data. If reliable Wi-Fi covers your regular use, start with Wi-Fi. If not, check local carrier compatibility, coverage, and plan terms for the exact 5G model.
- Estimate what you will keep on the tablet. Choose 256GB for more built-in space. Choose 128GB if your storage needs are modest or compatible removable storage fits your workflow.
- Compare the exact regional configurations. Confirm storage, memory, connectivity, model code, and any carrier restrictions on the seller’s listing.
- Compare current total cost. For 5G, account for the data plan as well as the tablet price. For either connectivity option, compare the same storage tier and region across current listings.
