What is the difference between the Galaxy S25 and OnePlus 13R?
Size and display
The clearest everyday distinction on paper is size. The OnePlus 13R’s 6.78-inch panel is substantially larger than the S25’s 6.2-inch screen. OnePlus also specifies 2780×1264 resolution and a dynamic 1–120Hz refresh rate. Choose based on whether you value a more expansive screen or a smaller overall phone; diagonal measurements alone do not determine comfort or display quality.

OnePlus lists a 6,000mAh typical battery and 5,860mAh rated capacity, while Samsung lists 3,885mAh rated capacity. Those are not like-for-like runtime measurements, and capacity alone cannot establish how long either phone lasts in use. App mix, settings, signal conditions, battery age, and other factors affect endurance.

For charging, OnePlus lists 55W SUPERVOOC and says up to 80W is possible with specified adapters. Samsung’s cited page says its travel adapter is not included; the available specification evidence here does not establish the S25’s charging wattage. Check what is included with the exact regional package and whether a separately purchased adapter supports the rate you want.
Camera hardware and zoom
The S25’s listed telephoto camera offers 3x optical zoom; the 13R’s offers 2x optical zoom. The S25 listing also cites up to 30x digital zoom, which is distinct from optical zoom. OnePlus specifies a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto, and an 8MP ultra-wide; Samsung lists a 50MP, 10MP, and 12MP rear-camera array. These specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos: no comparable camera sample testing is available here.

Chipset and configuration
Samsung identifies the S25 chipset as Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy; OnePlus lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The cited configurations each have 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage, though OnePlus specifies LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Different chip names and generations do not by themselves tell you the size of a real-world speed difference; no independent head-to-head benchmark is established here. Confirm the storage and memory for the precise regional SKU you are considering.
Software and durability information
The documented launch-era software differs: Samsung’s US availability announcement describes One UI 7 and Galaxy AI launch capabilities, while OnePlus lists OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15. These are not guarantees of the versions currently installed or of future update duration. The cited evidence does not establish a comparable software-support commitment for the two phones.

OnePlus states IP65 protection against low-pressure water jets and cautions about liquid limitations and warranty coverage. IP65 should not be read as waterproof. The evidence cited here does not provide a matching Galaxy S25 water-and-dust rating, so it cannot settle a durability comparison.
What is the Galaxy S25 vs OnePlus 13R price difference?
Samsung’s US 256GB product listing appeared at $899.99 in a search-result snapshot accessed October 4, 2026. That is a volatile listing figure, not a guaranteed checkout price. A current, like-for-like US price for the OnePlus 13R was not established from the official sources cited here, so calculating a dollar difference would be unsupported.

For a useful comparison, check both manufacturers’ checkout pages or retailers at the same time and match storage, unlocked or carrier status, and promotion conditions. Include any required adapter in the effective cost if fast charging matters to your decision; taxes and temporary offers can also change the total.

Which should you choose?
- Consider the OnePlus 13R if you want a larger 6.78-inch high-refresh-rate display and prioritize its higher listed battery capacity.
- Consider the Galaxy S25 if you prefer a more compact 6.2-inch phone or value the listed 3x optical telephoto reach.
- Compare checkout totals before buying if price is decisive: the available evidence does not establish a current comparable US price gap.
These are trade-offs inferred from the published specifications, not verdicts based on hands-on testing. Neither the listed battery capacity nor zoom specification alone proves better real-world endurance or camera results.
