Which display is larger and sharper?
The Note 17 Pro 5G has the larger listed panel: 6.83 inches versus 6.67 inches for the Note 13 Pro+ 5G. Xiaomi lists 2772 × 1280 resolution for the Note 17 Pro and 2712 × 1220 for the Note 13 Pro+; both are AMOLED panels with refresh rates up to 120Hz. The figures indicate similar resolution classes on differently sized screens, rather than establishing a meaningful real-world quality winner. Camera hardware: 200MP versus 50MP
Xiaomi Spain lists a 200MP optically stabilized main camera, 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro camera for the Note 13 Pro+ 5G. Xiaomi Mexico lists a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide on the Note 17 Pro 5G. The larger megapixel figure alone does not show which phone produces better photos: image quality also depends on sensor and lens behavior, processing, lighting and the camera modes used. The cited product specifications do not provide independent side-by-side image results, so a camera ranking is not established.

Battery capacity and charging speed
The Note 17 Pro 5G has the higher manufacturer-listed typical capacity, 8340mAh, compared with 5000mAh for the Note 13 Pro+ 5G. That is a capacity comparison, not a measured endurance result; actual screen time depends on workload, settings, network conditions and software. Xiaomi Mexico’s product page promotes “Más de 2 días de batería” (“More than 2 days of battery”), a Xiaomi claim rather than an independent comparative test. The page does not establish that every user will get that runtime.
Charging favors the Note 13 Pro+ on rated wattage: Xiaomi lists 120W HyperCharge, against 67W for the Note 17 Pro 5G. Xiaomi Spain says the Note 13 Pro+ can reach 100% in 19 minutes, but its product-page footnote conditions that claim on using the included 120W charger, boosted charging mode and a screen-off phone; Xiaomi says real results vary with the test environment. It should be read as a manufacturer test claim, not a guaranteed everyday charging time. Xiaomi’s Mexico pages do not provide a comparable Note 17 Pro charging-time figure.
Processor, memory and storage
The regional specifications name different 4nm processors: MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra for the Note 13 Pro+ 5G in Spain and Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 for the Note 17 Pro 5G in Mexico. The source pages do not provide a matched benchmark or independent performance comparison, so the chip names alone are insufficient to declare one phone faster.

Durability and physical details
Xiaomi Spain lists IP68 dust and water resistance for the Note 13 Pro+. Xiaomi Mexico advertises IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings for the Note 17 Pro 5G and says the phone passed a TÜV SÜD water-resistance test at 2m for 72 hours. These are Xiaomi’s product-page statements; they do not remove the need to check the local device’s terms and care guidance. Water resistance is not a promise that damage cannot occur in every situation.
The Note 17 Pro 5G Mexico specifications list dimensions of 163.45 × 78.27 × 8.6mm and a weight of 223g. The cited Note 13 Pro+ specifications do not state comparable dimensions or weight, so a size-and-weight comparison cannot be completed from these pages.
What is the price difference?
No defensible numerical price difference is established by the cited Xiaomi pages: they are for Spain and Mexico respectively and list specifications rather than matched current retail prices. A fair comparison needs the same country and currency, comparable storage tiers, a clearly identified seller and a date. It should also distinguish regular from promotional pricing and verify whether the regional package includes the charger and other accessories.

To decide whether the Note 17 Pro 5G is worth more where you live, compare local listings for matching storage configurations and check the seller’s exact model, network-band compatibility and stock. Without those details, neither a price premium nor better value can be stated reliably.
