On supported Samsung Galaxy phones, open Phone and go to More options (three dots) → Settings → Record calls → Recorded calls. Samsung notes that the exact steps can vary by model and One UI version.
Find a saved call recording
- Open the Phone app.
- Tap More options (the three-dot menu).
- Tap Settings.

Look from Recents on newer software
On supported newer software, Samsung US says a microphone icon can appear beside a call in Recents. Tap the call and open its recording details. Check other Samsung apps
If you cannot find the recording in Phone, Samsung support also identifies Voice Recorder and My Files as places to check. The precise location can differ by device and region. Samsung India: voice recordings and Samsung Colombia: call recording.

A missing menu does not by itself mean the phone is defective. Samsung’s support guidance says availability can depend on country and local regulations, phone model, carrier, and software. Check the phone’s country of sale and software version, then consult Samsung support for your region.

Samsung US says call recording is available in the Samsung Phone dialer on Galaxy phones updated to One UI 7.0 or higher. That is US guidance, not a promise that the feature is available for every model or market. Samsung US support.
Finding a recording is different from starting one
Turn on automatic recording, if available
In the Phone app, go to More options → Settings → Record calls → Auto record calls. Samsung’s guide lists options that can include all calls, unsaved numbers, or selected numbers; available choices vary by device and software. Samsung Support: call-recording guide.

Start recording during a call, if available
Samsung documents a More options → Record call control during a call. On newer software, a Record icon may be shown directly or within the More menu. For the One UI 8 flow described by Samsung US, participants receive an audio notification that the call is being recorded; do not assume that exact notification behavior applies to every device or market. A saved audio recording does not guarantee that transcript or summary features are available. Samsung describes Transcript assist separately, with its own device, software, language, or account-related availability requirements. Samsung Colombia’s regional guide says its native call recorder is for traditional mobile-network calls and does not work with Wi-Fi calling or calls in apps such as WhatsApp and Telegram.
