Both share a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh and a 5,000mAh typical battery. In Samsung’s cited US price references, the A37 launched at $449.99 and an unlocked 128GB A26 was listed at $299.99—but that A26 listing is marked EOL, so the $150 difference is not a verified current street-price gap.

What the A37 improves
Faster charging
Samsung lists 45W charging for the A37 versus 25W for the A26. The A37’s UK product page says it can charge up to 60% in 30 minutes with Super Fast Charging 2.0 and a compatible charging setup. Charging time depends on the charger, cable, conditions and use; the same claim is not established here for the A26.

Higher water- and dust-resistance rating
The A37 is rated IP68 and the A26 IP67. These are defined ingress-protection ratings, not a promise that either phone is waterproof or safe for unrestricted exposure. Avoid deliberate submersion and follow Samsung’s care guidance for the specific model.

Macro camera resolution
Both phones list a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide. The A37’s macro camera is listed at 5MP, compared with 2MP on the A26. That difference describes sensor resolution, not a guaranteed improvement in everyday photos: specifications alone do not establish image processing, low-light results or overall camera quality.
What is similar
Samsung lists the same broad display size, panel type, refresh-rate ceiling and typical battery capacity for both phones. They also share the listed 6GB/128GB base configuration, 5G, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 in Samsung’s comparison. A matching 5,000mAh rating does not prove identical battery life; usage, network conditions, software and other factors affect runtime.

Samsung’s support commitments are also similar: up to six operating-system upgrade generations and six years of security updates. “Up to” is the important qualification; it is not an exact update schedule or a calendar end date. Check Samsung’s support terms for the phone and region where you buy it.
