The 2026 77-inch Samsung S90H (QN77S90HAEXZA) is most compelling when the room is bright: its matte anti-reflective finish handles reflections better than the LG C6H, according to RTINGS’ size-specific review. It also uses an RGB Tandem panel, unlike several other sizes in the S90H family, so reviews of a different S90H size should not be treated as tests of this one.
Its trade-offs are real: RTINGS says the LG C6H has better processing and is brighter with most real content, while the higher-tier Samsung S95H reaches greater peak brightness. Samsung’s U.S. product page showed $3,699.99 on October 7, 2026; that is a dated price check, not a guaranteed current offer.

What is different about the 77-inch S90H?
Samsung identifies the 2026 U.S. 77-inch S90H as model QN77S90HAEXZA (family designation QN77S90HAE). RTINGS’ review updated October 2, 2026, identifies this size as using an RGB Tandem panel. Its North American size table lists RGB Tandem for the 48- and 77-inch models, but standard WOLED for the 42-, 55-, 65-, and 83-inch versions. That makes size-specific findings particularly important: a review of a 65-inch S90H, for example, is not a direct test of the panel in this 77-inch model.

RTINGS tested a warehouse-model sample whose suffix differs from QN77S90HAEXZA, the U.S. retail model named here. Its findings are specific to the 77-inch size, but the test sample and retail suffix are not identical.

How good is its picture in different rooms?
Bright rooms and reflections
The strongest case for this TV is a room where windows or lights reflect toward the screen. RTINGS identifies the matte anti-reflective coating as a substantial advantage for handling those reflections and says the 77S90H is a better bright-room reflection-handling choice than the LG C6H. Reflection control is not the same as brightness: RTINGS says the LG is brighter with most real content, so consider both factors if you watch in a sunlit room.
Dark rooms, color, and HDR
RTINGS describes strong black performance, vibrant color, and good HDR brightness. The RGB Tandem panel gives this size brighter, more vibrant colors than several other S90H sizes, but very bright colors can look somewhat washed out. Slow panning shots may also show noticeable stutter, a consideration for films and other content with deliberate camera movement.

When the S95H makes more sense
RTINGS says the Samsung S95H reaches higher peak brightness, which can make highlights and bright sports more vivid. The 77S90H, in turn, better maintains contrast in a bright room. RTINGS considers the S95H’s extra brightness less necessary in moderately lit rooms, making the choice dependent on your lighting and how much you value intense highlights.
How does it compare with the LG C6H?
| Factor | Samsung 77S90H | LG C6H |
|---|---|---|
| Panel | RGB Tandem in the 77-inch model, according to RTINGS’ size-specific review. | RTINGS says it shares the same panel as the 77-inch S90H. |
| Reflections | Matte anti-reflective coating; RTINGS finds it better at handling reflections in a bright room. | Does not match the Samsung’s reflection handling in RTINGS’ comparison. |
| Processing and real-scene brightness | RTINGS says it trails the LG in processing and brightness with most real content. | Better processing and brighter with most real content, according to RTINGS. |
| Dolby Vision | Not supported, according to RTINGS’ S90H series review. | Not stated in the cited comparison. |
Choose between them based on the room and the material you watch: the Samsung’s coating is the clearer advantage against reflections, while RTINGS gives the LG the edge in processing and brightness with most real content. The comparison supports those distinctions; it does not establish that one set is best for every viewer.

Is it a good gaming TV?
Samsung advertises Motion Xcelerator 165Hz, NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, and FreeSync Premium Pro for the S90H. RTINGS’ series review says it has four HDMI 2.1 ports capable of 4K at 165Hz and supports variable refresh rate (VRR). These are series-level details, rather than a separate measurement of the exact retail 77-inch unit. Actual modes depend on the connected device’s output, a suitable cable, the TV’s settings, and whether the game supports them.
Samsung’s 2026 S90H does not support Dolby Vision, according to RTINGS. If Dolby Vision content or a particular console-and-PC setup is central to your decision, check the exact format and output requirements of your sources before buying.

What about software and sound?
RTINGS’ S90H series review identifies Samsung’s 2026 Tizen platform and NQ4 AI Gen3 processor. Samsung says its 2026 OLED models support Dolby Atmos and specifies Object Tracking Sound Lite for the S90H; the S95H gets Object Tracking Sound+. These are manufacturer feature descriptions, not independent sound-quality measurements of the 77-inch model.

1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsTom’s Guide reports a 40W, 2.1-channel system for the S90H size it reviewed, but that review is not a sound test of this 77-inch set. Samsung says its models can receive up to seven years of OS updates. The announcement also notes that Samsung Account and internet access are required for network-based services; check the applicable regional terms if long-term support matters to you.
What does it cost, and what should you verify?
Samsung’s U.S. product page showed $3,699.99 for the 77-inch S90H when checked October 7, 2026; Samsung’s newsroom also listed that amount as the 77-inch lineup price. Prices and availability can change, so check the retailer’s current offer, stock, delivery terms, exact model suffix, and warranty before ordering. Samsung describes OLED HDR+ with Glare Free, the NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor, and Ultimate Gaming Pack on its product page; those are manufacturer feature labels, not independent performance measurements.
Installation details
Samsung’s Latin American page for the matching model code lists a 400 × 300 mm VESA pattern. Because that is a regional product page, confirm the mounting pattern and other installation details against the U.S. unit’s documentation before choosing a wall mount. Also check the mount maker’s load rating and the television’s actual weight requirements; the regional listing alone is not sufficient confirmation for a U.S. installation.
Quick Recap
Who should buy the Samsung 77S90H?
- Consider it if you want a 77-inch OLED and reflection handling is a priority because windows or lights face the screen.
- Compare it closely with the LG C6H if you value processing and brightness with most real content more than matte-screen reflection control.
- Look at the S95H if maximum peak brightness and vivid highlights are a higher priority than the 77S90H’s advantage in maintaining contrast in a bright room.
- Check the S85H as a lower-priced series alternative, but verify its current price and the exact model’s specifications before making a value comparison. Tom’s Guide frames it as the cheaper S90H-series option; its review was not a size-specific test of the 77-inch set.
