Salvation is a responsive HTML5 website template for churches, not a WordPress theme. Colorlib’s listing describes a full-screen hero slider, scroll-loaded content, animated statistics, a gallery and a sermons section. Those are listing claims, not independently tested results. Before using it, check the current download and license: the listing’s displayed page date and stated release date conflict.
What Salvation is—and what it is not
Colorlib’s Salvation listing presents a template for building a church website with HTML files. It is distinct from Salvation – Church & Religion WP Theme, a separate WordPress product. Features described for that WordPress theme should not be assumed to exist in Colorlib’s HTML template.

The Colorlib listing describes a fluid layout intended to adapt across devices and browsers. It also names a full-screen slider with text and calls to action, content that loads on scroll, animated statistics, a gallery and a sermons section. These descriptions do not establish how the downloaded files behave in practice, or whether they meet a church’s accessibility, performance or browser-support needs.

- Hero slider: A prominent opening area for a welcome message and calls to action. Check that the message remains clear and usable on small screens, and that visitors can operate the slider with a keyboard.
- Scroll-loaded content and animated statistics: Visual effects the listing says are included. Confirm they work acceptably with the site’s content and do not make important information difficult to reach.
- Gallery: A place to present photos. Verify that the church has permission to publish each image and that images are appropriately sized for the pages.
- Sermons section: A layout area for sermon-related content. A section in a template is not, by itself, proof of a working media library, streaming service or content-management workflow.
What the template does not establish
The listing does not establish that Salvation supplies the back-end services needed for donation processing, event registration, calendars, contact forms or live streaming. A static HTML template can provide page structure and styling, but operational features may require a separate service, integration or server-side development. Decide what the church needs visitors to do, then confirm how each action will work end to end before choosing the template.

Check the dates, download and license before adopting it
Colorlib’s page displays a date of January 7, 2026, while also stating “Released: September 2026.” Those dates are inconsistent as presented. The listing title’s use of 2026 is not independent confirmation of a version year: the surfaced listing gives no version number or changelog. Check the live listing and downloadable package for current files and release information rather than relying on the year in the title.
The listing reports a CC BY 3.0 license. Verify the license attached to the current download and its exact conditions before deployment or reuse. Also check that any images, fonts or other bundled assets have permissions suitable for the church’s intended use; the template’s license alone does not establish the rights for every asset.

How to evaluate Salvation before launch
- Preview the supplied pages. Compare the available layouts with the pages the church actually needs, such as worship information, sermons, contact details and giving instructions.
- Inspect the downloaded files. Confirm what pages, scripts and assets are included, and whether the package matches the current listing.
- Test on mobile and with a keyboard. Check navigation, slider controls, scrolling effects, readable text and access to important links. A responsive-design claim is not a substitute for testing the actual site.
- Map every operational feature to an implementation. Identify the service or development work behind donations, registrations, calendars, forms and media playback; do not treat a visual section as proof that a workflow is functional.
- Confirm permissions and maintenance expectations. Check the current license and asset rights, then decide who will update the site and maintain any external services or integrations.
Alternatives for comparison
Two separate listings may help frame a comparison, but their advertised features are not evidence about Salvation:

| Salvation (Colorlib) | HTML5 website template | Hero slider, scroll-loaded content, animated statistics, gallery and sermons section | Current package, license, and implementation for any operational features |
| Sacreva | HTML5 church/nonprofit template | Its listing advertises sermons, events, donations and other components | Whether the components meet the church’s needs and what integrations or services they require |
| NativeChurch | Responsive HTML5 template | Its listing describes an event calendar and audio/video sermon support | Current files, licensing terms and the actual setup needed for media and events |
Compare the actual files and terms, not just feature lists: platform and file format, included page modules, ease of design customization, permitted use, maintenance freshness, and the implementation needed for forms, donations, calendars or streaming. Similar names do not mean products share code, features or licensing.
