The eight options below address different parts of that work: some are broad platforms, while others are CRM features or tools centered on meetings and proposals. They are generally team software—not apps every rep can simply download and adopt—so confirm employer access and approval before using one.
What sales enablement tools are for
“Sales enablement” is an umbrella term, not a single feature set. A platform might organize approved sales content, deliver training and playbooks, support coaching, or measure how teams use materials and conduct customer conversations. Some products combine several of these jobs; others focus on one workflow.

For a rep, the practical question is which task needs to get easier: finding the current pitch deck, learning a new product, rehearsing an objection, reviewing a call with a manager, sharing material with a buyer, or keeping sales work connected to the CRM. A sales-community post poses a similar question about whether teams use these tools for content organization, training, buyer engagement, or something else; it is anecdotal, not survey evidence. Read the discussion.
Eight sales enablement options, grouped by use
This is a landscape of options, not a tested ranking. The descriptions below rely primarily on vendor-authored material and a Salesforce comparison page, so they establish stated capabilities, not independent proof of effectiveness.
#1 Best Overall
Broad enablement platforms
- Seismic: Salesforce describes Seismic Enablement Cloud as combining content, learning, and insights. Seismic’s homepage says Seismic and Highspot have come together; check the current product and contracting context before evaluating it. Salesforce’s comparison and Seismic’s homepage provide the descriptions.
- Highspot: Its sales-enablement page highlights adaptive learning, personalized learning paths, and AI role-play; Salesforce also describes content management, search, CRM integrations, and coaching. Its Salesforce AppExchange listing identifies it as a Salesforce app. The listing displayed $66 per user per month, a listing price rather than a verified quote or a comparable current price for other products.
- Mindtickle: Salesforce describes training, content, deal execution, role-play, and learning reinforcement. It may suit teams looking to connect rep readiness with sales execution, rather than solve content storage alone. See Salesforce’s comparison.
- Showpad: Salesforce describes a combination of training and coaching with content capabilities, including buyer-facing sharing. Consider it when both rep readiness and sharing sales materials with prospects matter. See Salesforce’s comparison.
CRM-centered sales tools
- Salesforce Sales Cloud: Salesforce describes enablement functions within its CRM, including guides and programs, call insights, dashboards, and AI coaching. It is especially relevant for organizations already working in Salesforce, but the description is vendor-authored. See Salesforce’s overview.
- HubSpot Sales Hub: Salesforce characterizes it as a CRM with sales playbooks, integrated email, call intelligence, and AI features. Confirm which capabilities are included in the plan your organization uses; feature availability can vary by plan. See Salesforce’s comparison.
Meeting and conversation coaching
- Demodesk: Salesforce positions Demodesk around virtual sales meetings, call summaries, CRM automation, and coaching. Its meeting-centered focus makes it a different fit from a broad content-and-learning suite. See Salesforce’s comparison.
- Gong Enable: Gong describes role-play built from customer conversation data, call review, coaching tasks, lessons, and tracking behavior against outcomes. Its page also describes more than 300 integrations and mobile support; verify current availability and details with Gong. These are vendor feature descriptions, not independent evidence of sales impact. The page offers a demo rather than describing a free trial. See Gong’s product page.
A related proposal workflow
ClientPoint is better treated as a proposal and document workflow option than as a direct substitute for every enablement platform. Salesforce describes proposal generation, business relationship enablement, and e-signatures. See Salesforce’s comparison.
How to choose a tool that fits your team
Start with the work to improve, then test how a candidate fits the systems and controls your organization already has. A feature checklist is more useful than treating every product in this landscape as interchangeable.
Rank #2
- Content: Can reps find the current, approved deck or document quickly? Who controls updates, permissions, and retired material?
- Learning and practice: Does the tool support the learning paths, reinforcement, or role-play your team needs? Ask how scenarios are created and updated.
- Coaching and call intelligence: Does it connect call review and manager feedback to the team’s coaching workflow? Check what call data is used and who can access it.
- Buyer sharing: If reps send materials to prospects, examine sharing controls and what engagement information is available to the team.
- Integration: Confirm whether it works with the CRM, email, and collaboration tools the team actually uses. Salesforce describes enablement within Sales Cloud, and Highspot’s marketplace listing identifies a Salesforce app; neither fact establishes compatibility with every organization’s setup.
- Measurement: Ask what the product measures and whether the metric answers your team’s question. Vendor-reported outcomes are not a substitute for evaluating results in your own workflow.
- Access and administration: Confirm licensing, data handling, security review, administrator approval, and deployment requirements with your employer before signing up or connecting work data.
What the feature claims do—and do not—show
Highspot describes adaptive learning and AI role-play; Gong describes practice grounded in customer conversations, call review, and coaching. These pages explain vendor-stated product capabilities. They do not establish, through an independent comparative test, that one option improves sales more than another. No apples-to-apples independent comparison across content governance, training, coaching, integrations, buyer sharing, and measurement is established here.

The biggest value is that we can create training grounded in our own customer conversations rather than generic role play.” That is a customer testimonial published by the vendor, not an independent assessment. Can an individual rep download one?
Usually, treat these as organization-managed software rather than personal downloads. Some are SaaS platforms evaluated through a demo; others may be CRM features or marketplace installs. An employer may need to choose the vendor, purchase licenses, approve integrations, and review data handling before reps can use the product. Ask your sales operations, enablement, or IT team what is already approved and available.
