If you mean full-screen video
Hiding Safari’s toolbar is different from making a video fill the display. Use the video player’s full-screen button if the website provides one. Apple’s video playback documentation distinguishes inline from full-screen playback; the available controls and behavior depend on how the site implements its player. Safari does not offer a universal setting that guarantees every webpage video will have the same full-screen control.
Another way to see more of a webpage
Rotate the iPad to landscape orientation to see more of the page, as Apple notes in its web-browsing guide. This changes the page’s orientation but does not hide Safari’s toolbar.
