For football at New Ryan Field, do not assume you can park at the stadium or on nearby neighborhood streets. Stadium football parking is restricted; check the game’s campus single-game parking options through JustPark before driving. Without a reservation, plan for transit, a listed shuttle, biking, or the designated rideshare point at Haven Middle School. These directions apply to New Ryan Field, 1501 Central Street, Evanston, which opened October 2, 2026—not the temporary Martin Stadium arrangements used for September games.
Can you park at Ryan Field on a football game day?
Stadium lots are not open for general football parking. Northwestern Transportation & Parking says parking at Ryan Field is not allowed on football game days, even with an annual Ryan Field permit; game-day stadium parking is reserved for season ticket holders. The stadium’s current directions separately point fans to campus single-game parking through JustPark. That means campus parking may be an option, but it is not permission to park at the stadium itself. Check the listing for your specific game for available lots, prices, and arrival instructions.

Do not plan around neighborhood street parking: event-day neighborhood parking is prohibited under city ordinances. Canal Shores Golf Course parking is also no longer available. See Northwestern Transportation & Parking’s game-day parking guidance and the venue’s Getting Here page before you leave.

Do not use the September 2026 game-day directions
Northwestern’s September 2, 2026 guidance covered two games played at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium before New Ryan Field opened on October 2. Its six campus lots, Ryan Field West Lot shuttle directions, and rideshare guidance were for that temporary lakefront venue setup. They are not current drop-off or parking directions for football at New Ryan Field. See the dated September game-day announcement only if you need that historical context.
