The Eureka J20 is the clearest hard-floor and mopping pick in current review coverage; the Dreame D10 Plus Gen 2 is a budget-minded routine cleaner. The other three options suit broader needs, but the available evidence does not establish a common tile-only test ranking across all five.
How to choose a robot vacuum for tile
Tile is hard-wearing, but crumbs and fine debris can settle in grout grooves and along edges. A useful comparison looks beyond advertised suction: consider hard-floor pickup, debris scattering, edge coverage, mop performance, obstacle handling, rugs, and the work required to maintain the dock. RTINGS discusses these tile-floor concerns in its 2026 tile-floor guide; that guide covers vacuums broadly, not just robot models.

Mopping also has levels. A basic pad can refresh a floor during routine cleaning, but it may not remove dried or sticky messes. More involved mop systems and docks can improve stain cleaning while taking more space and adding upkeep. The picks below reflect different roles and available review evidence—not a five-way, tile-specific head-to-head test.
Five picks for different tile-home priorities
1. Eureka J20: Best for hard-floor mopping
TechRadar’s current robot-vacuum guide names the Eureka J20 its best robot vacuum for hard floors. Its reviewer reports good vacuuming and effective spill cleanup from a roller mop that receives fresh water and removes dirty liquid as it cleans. That makes it the most directly supported choice here if mopping is a priority.
The trade-offs are a bulky, expensive dock and short battery life at higher-power settings, according to TechRadar. This is a hard-floor recommendation, not proof that the J20 outperforms every other model on tile or grout.

2. Dreame D10 Plus Gen 2: Best for budget routine cleaning
In a review published May 21, 2026, Tom’s Guide reported strong debris and hair pickup on wood and tile in its lab tests and positioned the D10 Plus Gen 2 as the best robot vacuum it tested under $300. The review reports 6,000 Pa of advertised suction; that specification is not an independent measure of tile-cleaning quality, and the under-$300 category label is not a guarantee of today’s retail price.
Its mop is basic and, in Tom’s Guide’s assessment, not suited to dried spills. The review also reports difficulty with high-pile carpet, so consider it for routine hard-floor cleaning rather than heavy stain removal or homes with substantial high-pile rugs.

- UP TO 75 DAYS HANDS-FREE CLEANING. Dirt and dust stay gone because it empties into the AutoEmpty dock with a bag that traps 99% of allergens as small as 0.7 microns. That means no mess or cloud of dust when you empty it. Just drop the used bag into the trash and put a new one in the base.
- DEVOURS DIRT WITH 70X MORE POWER-LIFTING SUCTION. Find, reach and eliminate messes with the combined power of 70X more suction*, multi-surface brush, 20% better edge and corner cleaning with an edge-sweeping brush, to devour dirt and dust bunnies, plus a microfiber mop pad to leave floors shiny.
- SUPER-SMART MAPPING AND NAVIGATION. ClearView LiDAR quickly maps your home to maximize coverage and provide a precise clean while steering smoothly around obstacles and specialized sensors prevent falling down stairs.
- RUGS STAY DRY WHILE MOPPING. Unlike other cleaning robots, the Roomba 105 Combo Robot automatically detects and avoids carpets while mopping so your rugs stay dry – no complex programming required.
- FULLY CUSTOM CLEANING. Choose from settings including vac only, mop only, or combo vac-mop. Schedule and target rooms based on your daily routine and adjust the number of cleaning passes, levels of suction power, and amount of mopping solution pumped onto the microfiber mopping pad.
3. Roborock Qrevo Curv: Best broadly recommended all-rounder
TechRadar’s general roundup calls the Roborock Qrevo Curv the best robot vacuum in its guide and reports strong suction and mopping in testing. That makes it a broad all-rounder candidate for a home with tile and other floor types. The cited coverage does not establish a tile-specific grout result, so it should not be treated as a proven tile specialist.
4. Roborock Q7 M5: Simpler budget alternative
TechRadar recommends the Roborock Q7 M5 as a simpler, capable option for tighter budgets. The available review evidence does not establish a tile-specific test result or a current street price. Check the exact regional listing and included features before deciding whether its simpler approach suits your cleaning routine.

5. ECOVACS DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI: Manufacturer-listed tile option
ECOVACS lists the DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI on its U.S. tile-cleaning page, advertising 16,600 Pa suction and an OZMO roller mop. These are manufacturer specifications and feature descriptions, not independent comparative findings. The available evidence does not establish how it performs against the other four models on tile or grout.

Review methods provide context, but results from different publications cannot be treated as one shared ranking. TechRadar describes testing fine dirt, larger debris, spills, dried sticky messes, mapping, obstacle avoidance, edge cleaning, noise, and battery behavior. Vacuum Wars says its lab suite covers airflow and suction, carpet deep cleaning, hard-floor and crevice pickup, pet hair and tangling, navigation, avoidance across 24 objects, and mopping across 14 dried stains when a model has a mop. It says its scores are relative to the average of its tested robots and that it updates scores after retesting; its 2026 page says it has tested more than 205 robots. That sample is the publication’s own, not a universal industry dataset. See its 2026 roundup and test-method description.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteOne practical example of why obstacle avoidance is not foolproof comes from TechRadar’s review of the Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro: in its test, the robot avoided a shoe and sock but became caught on a charging cable. The reviewer also reports that its first mopping pass left some soy sauce, while a more intensive second run removed dried ketchup patches. Those observations apply to that review’s test conditions and model, not automatically to the five picks above or every home. The Qrevo 2 Pro review is useful context, not a tile-only comparison of this shortlist.
ECOVACS’ page is useful for checking the manufacturer’s tile-focused model and feature claims, but those claims are not an independent test. Likewise, suction figures should not substitute for measured pickup: no comparable numeric grout-pickup result, tile score, or scratch-risk result is established across these five models.
Quick Recap
Match the pick to your floors and routine
- Choose for dried spills: prioritize tested mop performance and accept that a more capable mop-and-dock setup may take more space and upkeep. The J20 has the clearest reported spill-cleaning evidence among these picks.
- Choose for everyday debris on tile: the D10 Plus Gen 2 has reported lab results on wood and tile, but its basic mop is not a dried-stain solution.
- Choose for mixed floors: check the exact model’s rug handling and mop behavior rather than assuming features carry across a brand’s lineup. The D10 Plus Gen 2 review specifically flags high-pile carpet as a weakness.
- Choose for less hands-on maintenance: compare dock size and the actual bag, tank, pad, and filter tasks for the regional model. A self-managing dock can reduce chores but still occupies space and needs maintenance.
- Keep cables and small objects clear: obstacle avoidance can fail, as the Qrevo 2 Pro test illustrates; a reasonably clear floor helps avoid interrupted runs.
- Check the exact listing: prices, included accessories, and model availability can vary by region and change over time. A review’s budget category is not a live quote.
