To play Riders Republic with friends, finish the tutorial, meet or group with them in the game’s social area, then choose an activity or session together. Ubisoft’s current materials call the Social tab “Multiplayer,” but do not document a complete, current invite-button sequence. The game supports cross-play, so friends on other platforms may be able to join; cross-play is separate from carrying your own progress between platforms.
What to do before joining a multiplayer activity
Complete the tutorial first. Ubisoft says the listed multiplayer modes become available after it. Once you are through the tutorial, use the game’s social area to meet or group with friends, then plan or start an activity together. Ubisoft Annecy director Arnaud Ragot described the flow as: “You can meet your friends, group together, and then plan or start your session together.”

The interface has changed since that interview: Ubisoft’s Season 19 update says the Social tab is now called Multiplayer, with quick access to Free For All, Tricks Battle, and Showdown. The update also says friends can group up to play user-generated events competitively. Neither source establishes the exact current steps for finding a friend or sending an invitation, so menu labels and button prompts should not be assumed.
Choose a multiplayer mode that fits your group
Ubisoft describes several different ways to compete. The group sizes below are the figures on Ubisoft Help’s mode descriptions; they are not a promise that every mode is a private lobby for invited friends.

For a large shared event, choose Mass Race. Free For All is a smaller playlist format; the team arenas suit players who want to work toward shared objectives. Check the activity you select rather than assuming that grouping with friends turns every event into a friend-only match.
Can you play Riders Republic with friends on another platform?
Ubisoft advertises cross-play and cross-generation play for Riders Republic. Cross-play means playing with people on another platform. Ubisoft’s general help guidance says cross-play requires a Ubisoft account and that availability can vary by game and platform. Make sure the relevant platform accounts are linked to the Ubisoft account you use. The available guidance does not establish every current platform combination or the exact invitation procedure for cross-platform groups.

Ubisoft’s product page lists PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, but its platform examples include legacy services. Check the current platform listing for your system rather than treating every older platform example as a current availability guarantee.

Cross-play lets you play with someone using another platform. Cross-progression is about accessing your own game progress on multiple platforms. Ubisoft says cross-progression uses platforms linked to your Ubisoft account where you own the game; you may need to buy the game separately on a destination platform. Owning one copy should not be taken to mean that every platform version is included.

Do you need a console subscription?
Ubisoft says access to online multiplayer modes on console may require an active PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscription. The source uses “may,” so check the current terms for your console, region, and subscription tier before relying on online access.
