“Remove Samsung Email” can mean removing the app, removing one mailbox from the app, or removing an account from your Galaxy phone. Choose the action that matches your goal: removing an account from the phone or app does not permanently delete the online email account.
Choose what you want to remove

Remove one mailbox from Samsung Email
Use this route if you want to stop a particular mailbox from syncing through Samsung Email but keep the app and other accounts on the phone. Samsung’s instructions are based on its Email app; the wording and layout may differ by app version and language.

- Open Email.
- Open the app menu and tap Settings.
- Select the account you want to remove.
- Tap Remove, review the notice, and confirm by tapping Remove again if prompted.
Remove an email account from Galaxy settings
Choose this route when you want to unlink an account from the device rather than only remove it from Samsung Email. Samsung’s US instructions give this path:

- Open Settings.
- Tap Accounts and backup, then Manage accounts.
- Select the email account.
- Tap Remove account and follow any prompts. Some accounts may require additional verification, such as entering a password.
Removing an account this way removes associated email, contacts, and settings from that device, according to Google’s Android guidance. It does not permanently delete the account with its provider. If you later want the account on the phone again, add it back and sign in, provided you have the credentials and the provider allows access.

Android settings labels can vary. Depending on the device, account settings may appear under names such as Passwords & accounts, Users & accounts, or Manage accounts. If you cannot find the path, search Settings for “accounts.” Some Google instructions apply only to Android 14 and later. If the account is the only Google account on the device, Android may ask you to confirm with the device PIN, pattern, or password.
Uninstall, disable, or hide Samsung Email
Samsung says that some pre-installed apps can be deleted, while others can only be disabled or hidden. The choices available for Samsung Email depend on the device and its software; do not assume that every Galaxy model allows a full uninstall.

- Open Settings and tap Apps.
- Select Samsung Email. You can also check the app’s long-press menu, if available.
- If Uninstall is offered, tap it and follow the confirmation prompts.
- If uninstall is unavailable but Disable is offered, tap it to stop the app. Samsung says a disabled app is removed from the Home and Apps screens and can be enabled again from Settings > Apps.
- If neither option is available, check whether your Home screen settings offer a way to hide apps.
If the labels on your phone differ, search Settings for “Samsung Email.” Samsung notes that screens and available actions can vary across devices and software versions.

A Samsung account is not the same thing as an email address configured in Samsung Email. Removing a mailbox from the app does not sign you out of your Samsung account. If your goal is to unlink or sign out of a Samsung account, use the Samsung-account controls in device settings rather than the Email app’s account-removal option; signing out can affect access to Samsung services.
