Which phone has the better display?
Choose POVA for the higher advertised refresh rate
TECNO lists a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz, compared with 120 Hz for Xiaomi. A higher ceiling can matter to someone prioritizing smoother scrolling or compatible high-refresh-rate games, but the specification does not mean every app or game will run at 144 Hz.
Choose REDMI for the higher pixel resolution
The REDMI’s 2772 × 1280 panel has more pixels than the POVA’s 2644 × 1208 panel, and Xiaomi describes it as 1.5K. The POVA’s display is slightly smaller at 6.78 inches versus 6.83 inches, but its advertised refresh-rate ceiling is higher. Which trade-off matters more depends on whether you value resolution or refresh rate.

How do the cameras differ?
Xiaomi specifies a 200 MP OIS main camera; TECNO specifies a 50 MP OIS main camera. Both list an 8 MP ultra-wide rear camera. Their front-camera specifications are 20 MP for the REDMI and 13 MP for the POVA. Megapixel counts alone do not establish real-world photo quality: they do not tell you how consistently either phone focuses, handles difficult light or processes images. The manufacturer specifications support a comparison of listed hardware, not a claim that one takes better photos.

On paper, the capacities are close: Xiaomi lists 6580 mAh typical and TECNO lists 6500 mAh. Both specify 45 W charging. Capacity and charging ratings do not establish actual screen-on time or charge duration; usage, network conditions, software and other factors affect those results. TECNO describes its battery-life and cycle figures as laboratory results under simulated conditions on its POVA 8 Pro 5G product page, so they should not be read as independent testing or a guarantee of everyday performance.

What is the price difference?

Which one should you choose?
- Pick the POVA 8 Pro 5G if its advertised 144 Hz refresh-rate ceiling, lower listed weight or connectivity features such as NFC and Wi-Fi 6 best match your priorities. Confirm those features on the exact retail version available in your market.
- Pick the REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G if you prioritize the published 200 MP OIS main-camera resolution or the higher-resolution 1.5K display. Those specifications alone do not guarantee better photos or a visibly better experience for every user.
- Compare carefully if battery is your main concern. Their listed capacities and wired charging ratings are close, but these specifications do not determine which lasts longer in your use.
- Before buying either, verify the exact model, local price, warranty, network-band compatibility, and RAM and storage configuration. Availability and connectivity can vary by market.
