Screen size and handling
The Note 15 Pro 5G has the larger panel, while both phones are listed with 1.5K resolution and refresh rates up to 120Hz. The Note 14 Pro 5G’s screen is smaller and curved; the Note 15 Pro 5G is also 20g heavier according to Xiaomi’s India specifications. Prefer the 14 if a lighter phone and curved-screen feel matter more than extra display area.
Processor and cameras
Xiaomi lists a Dimensity 7400-Ultra in the 15 and a Dimensity 7300-Ultra in the 14. That is a newer chip generation on paper, but the specifications do not establish how large the difference feels in normal use. Xiaomi’s India product page describes the Note 15 Pro 5G as having an “all-new 4th generation 200MP ultimate-clarity main camera” and a “brand-new 1/1.4" large sensor.” Those are Xiaomi’s product-page claims, not independently verified evidence of photo results. Both models list a 20MP selfie camera and rear video recording up to 4K at 30fps.

Battery and updates
The India Note 15 Pro 5G is listed with a 6580mAh battery, compared with 5500mAh for the Note 14 Pro 5G. Capacity alone does not establish longer real-world runtime, and no controlled endurance comparison is established here. Both India spec pages list a 45W charger in the box, so neither requires buying that charger as a necessary extra based on those listings.

Xiaomi India states four years of OS updates and six years of security updates for the Note 15 Pro 5G. Its Note 14 Pro 5G page states “3+4 years SW updates.” Xiaomi identifies HyperOS 3 on the 15 page and Android 14 / HyperOS as the 14’s baseline. Support policies can vary by market; check the current local support information for the specific model.
Compare current prices before choosing
The right value depends on the price of matching configurations, not just the model names. Xiaomi India’s store result captured for this comparison showed the Note 15 Pro 5G 8GB/128GB at ₹31,999 and marked it out of stock at that time. That is a dated availability snapshot, not a current offer, and it does not establish a same-date price for the Note 14 Pro 5G. No precise price gap can be drawn from those figures.
